Publisher's Summary

Maryn Howe isn't intimidated by billionaire recluse Tucker Shaffer or his enormous log cabin in Island Park, Idaho. Maryn needs this interview, and she'll get it at any cost, even if the last four reporters were physically removed from his presence.

Tucker Shaffer has no desire to change his less than flattering public image, but his PR people persuade him to give it one more try. Ready to make nice with whoever comes through the door, Tucker is blindsided by a petite blonde with an extra-large personality. As the snow piles up and the questions keep coming, Maryn discovers the secret Tucker Shaffer has spent the last four years torturing himself with. She suddenly sees him in a new light, and she flees - right into danger and into Tucker's arms. But the danger has just begun, and now Maryn has to make a choice: trust in Tucker or lose it all.

Maryn, the heroine killed it for me.

The heroine was a doormat for the nasty guy, and bitchy with the nice guy. She doesn't like the one guy, but she lets him get away with accosting her and insulting her, while she bitches at the hero for everything. I didn't like the heroine's stringing the nasty guy along in the guise of maintaining a friendship, when the guy keeps coming on to her, and she doesn't stop it. There is more, but I won't get into it. This story was just not for me.

Very entertaining!

I really enjoy reading clean romance stories, but throw in some adventure and danger and you've got me hooked!

All of Cami's books are interesting, entertaining, clean, sweet reads. I prefer that all the books I read or listen to, whether romance, western, murder mysteries, etc... be clean.

I'm not a prude, but... I believe the way to tell the difference between a good author & a great author who write any stories where a couple, (same sex or male/female) is this...

Any good author can tell a good story, but a really great author is one who can make you envision, in your mind, the bedroom scenes of that story without having to go into graphic details about what that couple does in bed.

There is way too much out there that entails language that does not need to be constantly heard. In books, especially on tv & in movies, & in day to day life.

The narrator, Amy McFadden is one of my favorite narrators. She adds lots of expression & dimension to all her books! I think she could read the dictionary & make it interesting! You can't go wrong with any book narrated by Amy!

It was just okay

There was nothing great about this book and there was nothing bad. I do like that it is clean.

Great listen

I am really enjoying these books. Nice to listen to a romance without all the sex scenes that I usually have to fast forward through.

Good romantic story

I don’t usually gravitate towards romance books, but this one caught my eye. A sweet story of a freelance reporter and a billionaire falling in love. It was refreshing to read a clean romance book since too many of today’s writers go for more graphic sex scenes.

Believable and very enjoyable

This story was believable with fun characters and a great story line. I would love to hear more of what happens to the secondary characters. This was a thoroughly enjoyable read/listen. I'm getting the next one in the series right now 😁

I was looking so forward to getting this book

I was so looking forward to getting to hear this book because I own a cabin and property on a river in Island Park, Idaho. But this book is boring!!! the story line is boring. there is no reality in anything about the characters. the story is so boring, so unbelievable, and poorly researched, that I fell asleep listening to the book. There is nothing to recommend this book to anyone. sorry 😕

not really what I expected

overall, I was kind of surprised to the biblical undertones to it. which I honestly, wasn't really ready for considering of all the adult themef romance books I've been listening to to the last two weeks LOL
but I enjoyed it.

What the Jehoshaphat

The narrator was really good. I enjoyed the voices of the different characters. The story was ok because I am a sucker for romance. I objected to the writing because it was too corny. Words like floozy druggy, and ‘what the Jehoshaphat’, don’t do it for me.
