Sarah Grayson owns Second Chance, a shop that sells lovingly refurbished items, in the charming town of North Harbor, Maine. But she couldn't run the store without the help of her right-hand man, Mac - or her dashing rescue cat, Elvis.

Mac is almost a perfect male character: loyal, supportive and easy going. It seems too good to be true that a non-white character would be so easily accepted in a small Maine town, even in the 2020s. I understand why the author chose to gloss over the reality of an inter-racial romantic relationship, but it rings false.

I really enjoy this series. I enjoy the characters and writing. My only complaint is I wish the other women would stop pushing Sarah and Nick together. But, I know that's all part of the story, but they are dragging it way too much.
