Now, her mom is a suspect, and Mel and Angie need to find time to dig into the man's shady past and discover who served him his just desserts.

In the third book, Death by the Dozen, Melanie and Angie are determined to win the Challenge to the Chef to promote their Fairy Tale Cupcakes bakery. Mel's mentor from culinary school, Vic Mazzotta, is one of the judges, but when his dead body is found inside a freezer truck, they'll need to use their best judgment to find the cold-blooded killer...or they may lose more than the contest.

Fun easy listening story

This is a very good book to listen to. It is easy to follow and the author pulls you in to the story.

Couldn’t stop listening

This series is so cute! I love the descriptions of her cooking. The characters are all lovable. Each story keeps building on the other and I keep wanting to hear more.

I might be a little simple, but I enjoyed it very much. It was just what I needed.

Loved it

Ya totally worth the credit. Heart warming. Fun. Engaging. Great characters. The mysteries were good. Plus it was set in AZ and I know all the places mentioned.

Love the friendship and their movie quotes! Reminds me of my friends and family doing that lol! Just a great series to relax and listen to.

The story was well put together and interesting characters were well drawn and believable characters

Good story line, enjoyed the characters

I enjoyed the first book , listening to second now. It’s an easy , quality book to listen to. Characters draw you in. I listen to a lot of audio books and this narrator has to be my least favorite, her voice is just one note .

Great Narrator but struggles w/ S consonant blends

I like the story, and the narrator has a great voice. I really enjoyed her storytelling performance. However, I deducted one star from the Overall and Performance ratings, because it does drive me a little crazy every time she says the words like ask, asked, request, as well as other words ending in S consonant blends. She is unable to say them without a sort of lisp, and she says ‘asked’ as ‘athed’ A LOT. This is not a deal breaker for me though, as, overall, she did a great job.

Cozy with Cupcakes

Exactly what it says: it's a cute cozy series with cupcakes and murder. The characters are fun and especially the supporting staff at the bakery are original and amusing. It loses a star for the story (the reader is fine) because like 99% of cozies, half the protagonist's problems both personally and crime-wise would be solved if she used her big girl words. This goes to the extreme with their rival baker where by book 3 her 'quirky rivalry' antics have passed the point where any sane person would have filed for a restraining order.
