Publisher's Summary

In the news business, owning the headlines comes with a deadly cost.

JJ Cavendish thought she’d escaped her dark past. After publishing her tell-all memoir, she’s ready to settle down with Claire and devote her attention to running a scrappy online news venture. But when her new business partner exploits JJ’s notoriety to keep the company afloat, avoiding the limelight becomes impossible.

As JJ keeps hungry movie producers at bay, she fields an intriguing offer from an old enemy who could help her expose a cyberbully, stop a string of suicides, and get her company the scoop it needs. To bring the story to light, JJ and her team must brave the darkest corners of the web and hope her own name doesn’t make the headlines in the process.

The Fall Girl is the second installment in the Miracle Girl, a captivating series of lesbian romantic-suspense novels. If you like pulse-pounding plots and exploring the darker side of social media, then you’ll love T.B. Markinson’s gripping story.

Loved this one

This is a fitting sequel to The Miracle Girl. TJ Richards once again does a fantastic job narrating as JJ Cavendish. TB Markinson does a great job telling a story about cyber bullying and hiding behind the anonymity of the internet. This was an intriguing story with some mystery thrown in. Totally loved it! Really hoping there is another one coming for this series since the ending leaves you wondering.

Another awesome listen!

I am hoping the little tid bit at the end means another book... I blew through this book just as fast as the first. This book has a great plot and mysterious intrigue. TJ Richards does an excellent job narrating this audiobook as well. I highly recommend what I hope is a series, but st least this book and the previous The Miracle Girl.

the first book in series I liked but not this

the main character is too smug and annoying with a perfect life (millionaire homes and holidays etc) in this book. the first book was better. the first book involved struggles with addiction and unhappy emotions. but in this book it's boring, they have a perfect relationship but it feels shallow, & unrealistically perfect. and the smugness of the main character is annoying. I think the story gets more interesting later but the annoying lead character's personality and their smug shallow emotions grates on me.

What a twist!

I enjoyed listening to this book. The narrator was great, such a good performance. Overall the story was very interesting. I loved the criminal/mistery twist that was included. Maybe it makes you even think about things a bit, which is super. I would recommend the book either as a sequel or as a stand-alone book.

Great Sequel

How far The Miracle Girl is now from her rise to the top. The difference is now she has Claire and the family that's always been so elusive. Yes, she had to bare her soul to the very bone in order to put things right, but there is nothing she won't do to protect those she loves, even be The Fall Girl. Narration by TJ Richards was fabulous once again and with good material, she makes it look easy.

Great story

I’m a big fan listening to TJ Richards read to me, Her voice is unique and has a way of pulling you into the storyline. I’m glad TB wrote book two as you get to explore the life of JJ and Clair. I feel that she left this one open ended and I’m hoping for a book 3 in the series. I’d highly recommend both books. Non well done TB and TJ

A rich tale that keeps you on the edge wanting more!

The Fall Girl is a thoroughly engaging and enjoyable story! I loved JJ and Claire’s story in The Miracle Girl and was thrilled to see it continue in The Fall Girl. T.B. Markinson has the ability to create interesting characters that are often flawed, sometimes quirky, but always likable. Markinson thoughtfully develops complex characters that often struggle with their inner demons and perceived shortcomings. She fleshes them out in such a way that you care about them. Their journey is one that always yields a rich dimension to the plot. Such is the case with JJ in The Fall Girl. The story picks up where The Miracle Girl left off; JJ finally has her life together. She has just reunited with the only woman she has ever truly loved and she is ready to build a life with her. For the first time in a long time, JJ feels like her life has purpose and direction. With Claire by her side, she feels like her world is her oyster. However, just when JJ thinks her life couldn’t get any better, it takes an unexpected turn. She finds herself involved in an investigation of a serial killer from the deep dark web. The situation becomes increasingly complicated as JJ begins to rely on an unscrupulous woman from her past to uncover this cyber sociopath. Her involvement in this internet manhunt begins to threaten her newly ordered world and all that she loves. The Fall Girl, at its heart, is a love story. However, the plot twists and turns keep you guessing until the end, making the read an adventure. The conclusion will ultimately leave you longing for another installment to JJ and Claire’s story.
