Loved it!

Great book. I love Michael Heiser’s teaching and he weaved a lot of truths within this book. The narrator for audio version did a fabulous job.

terrible naration

I enjoyed the story line, however the narrator just butchered the story. Its better to just read the book.

Compelling, exciting and intriguing story line!

I really enjoyed this book and wish the the 2nd book “The Potent” was available on audiobook!

Sound Effects... Why?

I want to move on with the series, but may do so with the Kindle versions. I can't go on with needless sound effects and music that only take me out of the story.

Eye Opener!

Fiction founded on facts: How mesmerizing! You can literally look up names, documents, facts, and verify the realities behind the fiction. AND...for people of faith in the Bible, get ready to have to prophetically think outside the box. Amidst the mystery in the events, I greatly enjoyed the spiritual challenge alongside the academic & intellectual challenges. Heiser shines well beyond his other writings. Now I'm going after the continuation in your book "The Portent." I wish u were still here to write another fiction book like this one!

Great story

Great, intriguing story. However, the music and sound effects didn’t quite fit for me. I would have preferred to listen without those.

Michael Heiser is amazing. I didn't want it to end

the narration is pretty good. he is thematic and puts emphasis on characters, it could have been better though, and done after the voice and tone of Michael Heiser's dry wit and polite sarcasm that he delivers in charming ways. i actually could hear Heiser's wit in some of the characters, but the narrator made it sound smarmy and abrasive whereas Heiser is a bit more subtle and deadpan and you can tell that is the way he meant for it to be read. regardless of that this is pretty good. I'm definitely going to reread physical book with Heiser's dryness in my head. An overall good audible book.

Fun Story

I liked the story. The narration seemed like the emotions didn’t always fit what the words were saying and at a few points I think the author could have fleshed some details out better. Overall a great listen though.

I liked and recommend it, but…

First of all, the narration was distracting. I kept thinking they must have gotten a Groupon deal or something. His voice is good, but it’s hard to tell the characters apart at times and his inflections are frequently off. They also add in background audio that just wasn’t well done. You get used to it after a while. I listened to it at 1.4 speed.

The story is good. My only disappointment was that it was more of a fiction story than anything. I was hoping for a bit more education along the way.
