Horrible narration, authors are gifted communicators, their work is ruined by the narration. Narrated by author next time.

What stood out the most?

The narration is so bad it destroys the in-depth research this author did.
He butchers the pronunciations of people. Locations and concepts so much that the listener has no idea the concept the author wants to communicate.
This title should be reproduced at Audibles expense, Is audio quality demonstrates a narrator that has no concern for the audience in their care or understanding.

An AI generated narration would far exceed this lousy effort.
This is far below the Audible brand. Shame on you and the narrator.

Research is impressive. Narrator is abysmal.

I really appreciate the Gilbert’s research and effort. This narrator is terrible. His pronunciation is abysmal. I recommend getting the book and reading it yourself.

Well-researched text, faulty reading

The two authors present a well-researched narrative, a linear and detail-filed story of the human saga of rebellion and vain ambitions. The scope is panoramic, the tone is cautioning and yet non-alarmists. The war on God and his purpose detailed here will affect us deeply, but there is hope as the world Is staggering towards its self-induced calamity. The presenter, though, should really have prepared better by learning how to properly pronouncing words of foreign origin. Sometimes the mispronunciations are misleading and interfer with the flow of the narrative. All in all: a very good read, but not as an audiobook.

Terrible Narration!

I tried to push through for several chapters, but I finally had to return the title. This subject matter requires inclusions of difficult-to-pronounce words and it’s clear the narrator didn’t even try to learn any of them as he horribly mispronounces even the simplest words.
