I'm still really enjoying this series. I think what makes it special, apart from the unique and sometimes perhaps too abstract magic system, is the care given to the characters. As with any good story, there are no truly good or evil people (ok, except for Pandora of course since she is actually the living embodiment of the concept of evil). The characters in this series all have strong motivations and sometimes we, the listener, don't even know them right away. Good characters sometimes turn out bad and visa-versa. More often than not, they can't be categorized as one or the other and our fondness for them might flip back and forth throughout the series, as with Momo, Sahara, and Abby. Stories like this one that are strongly character driven are always my favorites. I just want to thank all the people that created this. Thank you for continuing to translate and narrate this series despite the slow sales. Some of us really appreciate it.

Still Interesting

This series has been a little hard to follow sometimes, with all the shifting allegiances and subterfuge, but I feel like this volume had a much simpler set of motivations to keep track of. I had thought things were about to get even simpler by the end... then the last few pages happened, so we'll see. Very much looking forward to the next one, in any case.

I've always loved Annie Wild's performance but she's *extra* good this time in the very emotional confrontation at the end, I was totally locked in for it.
