Another cozy amazing book with a rough start

While the vibrant cozy writing style and stellar vocal performance are just as amazing as the original. However the first 3 hours are rough due to an over talkative isolated character so the majority of the text is the main character talking out loud or to herself extensively to just fill the silence per se which can becoming grating at times.

After that however the story quickly opens up to a full cast and quickly but naturally fleshes out. The call backs to the original book near the end also make you tear up a bit. Overall an amazing book that will make you hungry(literally) for more of the cozy yet vibrant writing.

Great listen, such a fun series! Fingers crossed we get another that is a crossover between the two islands!

I loved the plants, the magic, the love, and the perfectly imperfect relationships.

Even better than the first book in series!

I loved this story. I enjoy the author’s voice and her first book in this series was good but this one is even better. The plot is complex and the characters well developed and endearing. It’s the perfect book to listen to when you need to retreat from the world and find comfort. I also liked how the author tied in the characters from her first book and provided a snippet of an update on that story as well. Definitely worth reading! The narrator is really enjoyable to listen to as well. Solid performance!

Wonderful and kind story

I love this series so far. The characters are kind and always grow as individuals throughout the book. I love the way they tackle the challenges they face. Being strong smart and brave and still compassionate. The talking plants are wonderful enough for a story all their own. I laughed and also felt the hurt and insecurities of every character. Book to make you feel good. Beautiful in every way.

Cute and cozy

Exactly as titled. It’s an easy listen and was cozy. A great read when you need a break from the heavy listens out there.

Outstanding

This is such a feel good story. When 4th librarian Terlu is found guilt of creating a sentient spider plant, Caz, she is sentenced to be turned into a statue and spend her life in the library to serve as an example for others who break the rules. After 6 long years of solitary, Terlu finds herself alive again and stranded on enchanted island with magical greenhouses and a less than friendly gardener. Terlu must decide if she is willing to break the empire’s law once again and help save the greenhouses and the plants.
Never thought I would be so invested in a book about talking plants but I could not put this one down. I can’t wait for the next book in this whimsical series.

Sweet innocence

I love how clean the writing is, there is romance without raunch and that’s a breath of fresh air. The story is magical and cozy and just so precious.
