The story: Commissar Cain is called to duty once more, saving a governor's daughter from a planet overrun by rebels. The uprising hides something far more sinister however - genestealer hybrids! The search for the source of the alien threat leads Cain to a drifting space hulk - a far safer place than beside the obsessed governor's daughter. But when the Reclamator Space Marines suffer devastating losses at the hands of the Great Devourer, Cain and his trusty aide Jurgen must go it alone. With the tyranids waking and a group of stow away orks on the loose, there are no safe places to run or hide, and Cain must use all his ingenuity and cunning to escape the space hulk alive.

it's another great entry in the Ciaphas Cain series would recommend giving it a listen

Best Cain book thus far

Seriously loved this one. the interactions with Cain and other characters was excellent, still miss commissar Dolan though :(

if you have made it this far then it more of whant you loved about the other audio books in the series

Space Hulk!!!

Absolutely bonkers. Good writing, good voice over, pure bonkers story. It is abasolutely worth a listen.

Cain does it again!

Who else can dodge Tyranid Genestealers, Orks, AND a marriage? Cai-Cai-Caiphas Cain, HERO OF THE IMPERIUM!

Another highly regarded Cain novel.

A great book about one of Cain's early exploits that does a lot to fill in his character and his relationship to a reoccurring Space Marine chapter who are also written quite well, if not very deeply. Some serious lol parts (for me anyways) with regards to Gunner Jurgen and his lack of social ques and his propensity to take everything literally.

If you have made it to this point in the memoirs of Caiphus Cain, then you know what you are getting yourself into.
