A collection of stand-alone novellas that explore what would happen between Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet if her sister Lydia’s elopement were handled differently.
If Elizabeth hadn’t read Jane’s letters in Lambton, what would have happened? And what would Mr. Darcy have said to her when he visited the inn? - Letter Interrupted
If Mr. Bennet received the express from Colonel Forster without his family present, could it have been kept secret from those in Meryton? And could Darcy court Elizabeth in Derbyshire without impediment? - Uncertain Endeavors
If the plot to elope was known in Brighton, would anyone have tried to stop it? What would happen if they succeeded? - Foolish Games

This collection of 3 shorter stories are all very enjoyable and similar stories. They are different enough and romantic enough for me to enjoy each and everyone.
Letter Interrupted
In this one, Elizabeth doesn't get to read Jane's letters until after Darcy comes to visit her again at the Inn.
This one delay changes everything and we get to more time of Elizabeth and Darcy coming to an understanding then dealing with the Elopement together. The romance and dedication between ODC is great and thoroughly enjoyable, It is like getting a better ending of the original story.
Foolish Games
In the description, this one is 3rd but it was 2nd for me in the audiobook.
In this variation Denny decides to go to Colonel Foster immediately to let him know about the elopement and they intercept Lydia and Wickham. We get to see how this affects the courtship of Elizabeth and Darcy in Derbyshire if Jane never sends a letter
Uncertain Endeavors
In this variation, Mr. Bennett receives the express quietly at night and the whole household isn't awoken.
He takes the task on with only himself and Mr. Gardner (a some bowstreet runners). Mr. Gardner leaves Elizabeth and Mrs. Gardner in Lambton and Darcy invites them to stay at Pemberley as they await his return. They believe he only has business in town.
All of these variations differ slightly but all focus on the meeting at Pemberley and how things could have been different if Lydia and Wickham weren't as big of a problem. In all of these, I love that Wickham and Lydia don't end up together. I always hate the idea of her ending up with him as he will just abandon her at some point and it doesn't make sense that this is her fate. We see growth in Lydia and some of Mr. Bennett in all of these. Really enjoyed them. Wish they were all a bit longer. Loved that they all had a bit of an epilogue.
3 enjoyable, low angst, high romance variations

Letter Interrupted: A little more time can change things for the better
I first read this several years ago & just got the audiobook series set. It was fun to revisit each story in the collection. Each story is an individual standalone. In this one Jane’s letters to Elizabeth telling about Lydia’s elopement was delayed just long enough for Darcy and Elizabeth to come to an understanding. Darcy sticks by her and her family during this time and helps them to find Lydia. Lydia has lots of growing up to do and we see what it takes for her to do that. I do like that Lydia has a different ending than in canon. For the audiobook, I love them. This is not one of my favorite narrators but I don’t mind it. It just takes me a little bit to get into the rhythm of this narrator.
Uncertain Endeavor: This is another one that I read several years back and have read it more than a few times. I love when books are released to audiobook and the collection of all three was done recently. In this standalone story, Lydia has run off with Wickham but Mr Bennet was able to keep the express letter quiet from his family. He along with Mr Gardiner (who had left his wife and Elizabeth with Mr Darcy) search and finally find the runaways. I like that the author gave them a different ending than canon and how Lydia grew from it.
Foolish Games: I read this book several years ago, but the audiobook collection just became available.
In this standalone story in the collection, one of the officers has a conversation with Wickham and realizes that Wickham’s action would ruin the Bennet family. He decides to help stop Lydia and Wickham. In doing so Mr. Bennet realizes his errors and strives to set things straight. Lydia has some growing up to do and the perfect school was found for her. As this is going on Elizabeth along with her aunt and uncle are visiting Lambton and Darcy realizes he has a second chance with Elizabeth. Bingley also learned to stand up for himself.
