Critic reviews

"As a physician, I am constantly struck by how little guidance the medical community provides around care at the end of life -- it is truly one of the greatest gaps in our care of patients. The Dying Process takes a bold step toward beginning to fill that gap by leaning into some of the difficult conversations that arise around the topic of death and dying." —Lauren Pace, MD

Compassionate, informative, beautifully narrated

This book is a quick listen that takes the reader through the last months of caring for a loved one who is dying. It contains practical guidance that everyone should know, but probably doesn't. What makes the book special is the compassionate way author Katie Duncan presents the information, and narrator Erin Grassie reads it. There are helpful tips not only for how to help someone eat, or bathe, or sleep, but also suggestions for how to give your loved one space to reflect and how to make the final weeks and days meaningful and not just sad and stressful. Grassie's gentle voice especially helps the reader ease into what could otherwise be an uncomfortable subject.
