Loved this one, looking forward to the rest!

Well I just thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was a cute story about the damaged hero being unwillingly and inadvertently saved by the heroine. Daphne has a slew of brothers to protect her and keep her safe and it's both touching and comical the interactions between the siblings. I enjoyed the integrity of Simon, and the relationship between the two. There was one disappointing piece of the storyline with Daphne, and I kind of was surprised that I was as disturbed by it as I was. I was also surprised that this particular person, her character being written as it was, would do what she did.

I loved the extra epilogue. I admit I was kind of confused at the direction it took, but as I understand it, the extra epilogues make a story of their own, so I look forward to the next one. I was TOTALLY disappointed at the direction Simons fathers letters went, and we never did learn the message he gave to his old friend to deliver to Simon.

All in all this book was definitely worth the point, and I will absolutely look forward to the rest of the series. Rosalyn Landor did a fantastic job keeping the characters separate. I love her narrating.

I kept being amazed... It almost starts off with them getting together and I thought, "how can they fill 8 more hours?", but they did and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Good but predictable

I only gave the story three stars because it was very predictable. The narration was excellent though so overall I thought four stars was fair. I enjoyed the humor and the characters were very likable but I probably won't listen to it more than once.

Enjoyable

A good romance filled with both challenges and humor. The narration was well done. I had read the book several years ago, but the audio version brought it to life in a very entertaining way.

A Story For The True Romantic

Simon The Duke meets Daphne. Both being single make a plot to court each other, to fore go the many Society Balls....and the story takes off flying from there. I 💝 this book from begining to the end. 5 🌟's for narrator Rosalyn Landor who lovely voice, will have you thinking your being told an exquisite bedtime story that goes on and on that you never want to end.
This is my 1st Julia Quinn novel however it most certainly won't be my last!!! 5 🌟's for storyline & overall performance. Well worth your credit!

Pleasant read overall

The narrative seems retarded, this is the only part I do not like. They should have a male read the male part and a female read a female part.

Love the narrator

Liked the book, but what I loved the most is that the narrator can really switch from one character to the other and you really feel the story and identify the character speaking.

Julia Quinn is a great author. Just the right mix of humor, sweetness, conflict, love. I love this series.
