My favorite author as well as one of my favorite narrators his first law series is what got me into audiobooks I enjoyed every minute thus far and look forward to future works

Being realistic

Say one thing about Joe Abercrombie, say he knows how to write. Steven Pacey is fantastic as usual. Not the most original review, but you have to be realistic about these things, after all...

another great book. Holy shit what an amazing first installment to a new trilogy. I will be listening to it again, probably as soon as it ends.

Abercrombie strikes again

Yet another brilliant series in the making. This one grabbed me from the very first scenes and didn’t let go of my attention to the very end. I just adore his prose, his characters, his humor. I actually laughed out loud or marveled at his turn of phrase many, many, times. Which speaks to just how deeply I was absorbed into the story. Another excellent addition to abercrombies works.

Abercrombie's best journey yet

Funny, epic, fun, brutal, endearing. Joe brought all his storytelling skills for this one and Steven Pacey voiced it to life. A journey I'm bummed is over. For now.

Abercrombie delivers again.

interesting and engaging right from the start. The characters are incredibly written and so easy to root for even as imperfect as they are. Also Steven Pacey could read me a dictionary and I’d love it.

My very first Abercrombie book and I absolutely loved it!

What a ride. His prose and characters are absolutely amazing and the narrator is one of the best I’ve listened too. I highly recommend this book and 10/10 will be getting book two as soon as it’s available.

Action packed and great frenetic pacing

A white knuckle fantasy ride reminiscent of 80s fantasy movies rife with action and celluloid pulp I loved it.

You've done it again Joe

Joe Abercrombie is a rare individual. His writing style, characters, and ability to make a story feel real is fantasy itself.

This is the first time I've ever enjoyed werewolves or vampires.

Every character we meet is so individualized and distinct that there was never a time I got mixed up. The emotions between the characters interactimg with their world feels so real its insane amd heartfelt. Damn damn damn.

Still alive...

Joe Abercrombie is still alive!! As always, his books are top notch. Excellent world building, interesting characters, witty, and has that First Law humor and style we all cherish. I love that this book takes place on Earth with a twist on Christianity.

However, Mr. Abercrombie, that creature you depicted in the last few chapters of this book with haunt my nightmares for the rest of my life, so...thanks for that. 😱

And Steven Pacey will always be one of my favorite narrators, alongside Tim Gerard Reynolds.
