Publisher's Summary

The fate of peculiardom hangs in the balance in this epic conclusion to the number-one best-selling Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series.

The last thing Jacob Portman saw before the world went dark was a terrible, familiar face.

Suddenly, he and Noor are back in the place where everything began - his grandfather’s house. Jacob doesn’t know how they escaped from V’s loop to find themselves in Florida. But he does know one thing for certain: Caul has returned.

After a narrow getaway from a blood-thirsty hollow, Jacob and Noor reunite with Miss Peregrine and the peculiar children in Devil’s Acre. The Acre is being plagued by desolations - weather fronts of ash and blood and bone - a terrible portent of Caul’s amassing army.

Risen from the Library of Souls and more powerful than ever, Caul and his apocalyptic agenda seem unstoppable. Only one hope remains - deliver Noor to the meeting place of the seven prophesied ones. If they can decipher its secret location.

Jacob and his friends will face deadly enemies and race through history’s most dangerous loops in this thrilling pause-resister, the final adventure in the beloved Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series.

Closure...

Completely committed to this series and very content with ending.
I wish this would be made into a Netflix series. The movie was a horrible adaptation. You care about all these characters. They all have feelings. Thank you Ransom, it was a great story.

Oh. My. Stars.

I kept having to go back and read listen because I didn't want it to end. not because it was poorly done but just for the fact this is the last other stories the finale. I I have grown fond of all of the characters as I'm sure you have if you've read the other five books in the Miss Peregrine series and have grown to love them the same as I have. all I can say is it will keep you guessing you'll never know what's going to happen because it's constantly evolving and changing into something much like the jars in the library of souls did it changes to each new chapter. cherish it for it is the last in this segment of the peculiar children's lives.

It's Here!

It's here!!! The moment the book was in my hands I started reading. I mean with a ending like the last one, what do you expect! Very, very worth it! If you haven't read the first five in a while, re-read them first. (The book makes perfect since if you don't. But Riggs makes a LOT of references to previous books.) (And re-reads are so much fun anyway.) This is the last book in the series (nooooo!) and it is so very worth the wait! New Hollows, old characters thought dead... loop jumps as well as action, so much action.

I really, really wish there was a novella or something where Jake and Abe Portman accidentally meet up in a loop hop. There were a lot of references to how Abe knew all about what Jake can do, but to real answers for HOW?!? And that's always a stories I've really wanted to read! ;)

The Narrator, Kirby Heyborne, is phenomenal!

I absolutely loved the peculiar children series and am sad it’s coming to an end (Ransom Riggs - please bring them back for more adventures) but my review is for the narrator. This is the only book from the series I listened to and I am blown away by Kirby’s talents as narrator! He had a voice for each character (and there are MANY characters) and spoke with a multitude of accents (English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh, French, American, American south, etc etc), is able to do men and women, young and old, sweet and evil...just brilliant! I really enjoyed listening to this book!

A wonderful series and ending!

This was such an delightfully narrated story series. This one was a bit dark and I found the voice of Cole to be frightening. But all I all a wonderful story of loyalty, friendship, teamwork, and bravery in the face of being different and severe adversity. And there’s some very funny bits too.

Wonderful ending to an amazing series.

I truly hope he decides to pick back up on this series one day because it's been so lovely reading these. The last of the series, The Desolations of Devil's Acre, picks up where the last book ended and for me, didn't have a dull moment. I loved the way they concluded the fight against Caul. I loved the sweet ending. I loved everything about this book and this series. The only thing I would change is that it had to end!

loud

I found that I had to keep stopping the book because it was just getting loud and I don't mean volume but tone. I ended up reading the last four chapters because I couldn't get past the narrator's voice and that calls narration. with that, the story was great. I always enjoy it. it was busy.
