A.P. writes with the presence and tactical awareness of Tom Clancy, with characters that are relatable, quirky, and candid. I am looking forward to the sequels and anything else by this engaging and intriguing storyteller!

If I never hear Mi Amore again, I will be ecstatic

I have to agree with another reviewer, don't waste a credit. The story has potential but the dialog between characters, especially between the Main character and his wife is odd. Chase and Sandy can't talk to each other without saying Mi Amore or My Love. Who does that? Scattered family members seem to make it to the farm without much trouble. On the first day, they manage to raid several business's and other places with not a hair on their heads getting misplaced. They always come out on top no matter who or what they go up against. I am only on Chapter 6 and I don't know if I can finish it. The narrator sounds like this is the first time he has read the book. There are un-natural breaks in speech where it sounds like he has to turn the page to continue. His voice gets a little monotonous after a while and it's hard to tell if he is on the same character or has moved on to speak as someone else.

Demon

Circumstances take a ordinary man and put him out front of a attack on American soil like had never happened before. Now that man must protect his family and friends from what is to come. Chase has a demon that comes out when he gets put in situations that just need someone or something to take over and do the motions, and as long as the demon saves his family and friends he doesn't care.

This book is based on a high altitude electro-magnetic pulse going off and plunging the USA in total darkness. This was a action packed, suspense filled wonderful book that I was in no way ready for it to end. The characters are real and it is totally easy to believe yourself there helping the group. It was a good audio book narrated by Ricky Wolff despite some interesting pronunciations. I can't wait for more to come so I can hear what happens to Chase and his family.

Great storyline

Great storyline. Cant wait for book 2 to hear what happens with the group. The narrator on the other hand was drier then a Popeye's biscuit but is tolerable. All the characters sound the same.

Great story.

This book has a great storyline that kept me entertained and wanting to go onto the next book in the series. The fast pace of this book kept me engaged and I listened to it in one day. I hope this author keeps up the good work and continues writing this style of books.

The narration was lacking and not up to par with the book.

Disclaimer: I only got an hour in before I gave up.
From what I heard, this book seems to be well-researched or written by somebody with good knowledge on the topic but the dialog is sooo dry and unnatural I can't take it. I'm not even sure if its more the writing or the narrator, because neither is good, but I can't believe that they listened to this and thought this is what people sound like when they speak!
