Not bad but too many issues to rate any higher

I loved the concept of this book, but did not love the execution. There was a lot of over-explaining and telling rather than showing. There were also a lot of clunky sentences where the author used the same words twice. I know it’s nitpicky, but it was an interruption to read and happened too often to forgive.

Overall, the story was engaging, so I think 3 stars is fair. If the climax had been resolved with more stakes or fewer plot holes, I would have rated it higher.

I love a cottagecore fantasy! The characters are likable and the narrator does a great job with voices and accents. I can't wait for the second to be narrated, the performance enhanced the story for sure!

Amazing Story

Amazing story, can’t wait to listen to the next one but I wish there was a different voice actor for the males.

Great story, fun romance!

I really enjoyed this story and the spice level was perfect. It had believable build up with a strong and powerful female lead with depth/ an interesting back story. My only complaint would be the narrator sometimes sounded a bit disjointed from the story. I listened at speed 1.10 and it helped a lot!

Narration is terrible

This narrator's voice doesn't match the tone of the story. It could be a really sad moment, and the narrator sounds like they're about to be gifted a kitten.

I wanted to like this book, but the voice of the narrator grates on my nerves. It ruins the book.
