Publisher's Summary

Well, I just can't seem to catch a break, can I?

None of us saw it coming, no matter what precautions we took or how many contingencies we put into play.

What’s the point of having all this power when everyone is out to get me?

They say things are darkest before the light, and that the storm gets worse before it clears. Trust me when I say platitudes don’t do a damn bit of good when you’re in the middle of it.

I’m Kit Davenport, and my heart is breaking.

Great story, terrible narration

The narration in this is awful. The female is better than the male. Which isn’t saying much, as he sounds almost robotic while talking. The female does better. Other than when she shouts things, or durning some of the steamy scenes.

Great series

I bawled like a freaking baby while listening to this book. Dammit. It’s a love/ hate thing. I hate loving books that make me cry like that.

WORDS, WORDS, WORDS

I've went through all the emotions on this one. I was crying, laughing, angry, vengeful, and exhausted!!! I can do without all the love scenes one or two in a story is okay but over and over come on, it's like move on. the story line was awesome. I'm going through the whole collection in a week. Can't wait to see how it all turns out.

Love it!

I adore Kit with her men. Kit is still being chased, Wesley has learned more about what he is. Amazing narrator.

Ugh Kit

This was my least favorite book in the series. I really didn’t like Kit much at all and how she’s treating everyone is really mean and selfish. This book has the most casualties and least amount of love or steam because the temper tantrums Kit has. I hope she redeems herself in the next book. Maybe Alpha can knock some sense into her.

deeper but so many unanswered questions still

This one was my least favorite of the series so far. There was a lot of loss, unexpectedly, which actually impresses me when an author can pull off killing big characters. However, Kit pretty much spent the entire book mourning and moping. She didn't care for how the losses affected the rest of her team or anyone really. I realize everyone grieves different but she kinda annoyed me in this book. Then the battle with her mom and the bracelet...what? There are quite a few unanswered questions that I can't wait to find out in the next book. I'm already annoyed with Kit's last decision she makes at the end so hopefully that mentality doesn't last long. I liked that there were a lot more POVs from the guys but it still seemed like they weren't as present in this book as the others. Its still a must read to continue the story, but just be prepared for sadness. I am pretty excited to see how River's power plays out.

Such a good series!

This series is really good. It has a different and unique story line. The narrators do a great job and really brings the story to life. I hope the author keeps new books coming.

No Words for how AMAZING!

This series is fantastic! I have no words to express what I am feeling after this book. Tate James is so Freaking talented. Marnye and Matt have me sitting as the edge of my seat during the entire book. I have not been able to stop listening. I almost don't want to start the last book because I don't want Kit to end.

Love Love Love!!!

Loved this one as much as the rest. Loved that this one had a little more emotion and humanity. The narrators capture the characters so well. Just love love love this series!

***Heartbreakingly Sad***

I loved this book but it also broke my heart :( I cried for Kit and for the unfairness of death.
I feel like I went to a wringer after listening to this audiobook. It's intensely sad and in not sure my heart can recover :(
The narrative is excellent as always their both brilliant in their executions.
