Publisher's summary

Escape to the seaside village of Little Pondale with parts one and two of this heartwarming and romantic four-part serial.

Mia Ward is amazed to learn she has inherited her great-aunt Matilda’s thatched cottage in the tiny seaside village of Little Pondale - especially as Mia didn’t know she had a great-aunt. She’s even more astonished to discover she’ll inherit the place only if she actually lives there for one year.

Mia’s a city girl at heart, not to mention she’s afraid of water, so the fact the cottage backs onto a sandy beach is not a bonus. When her best friend, Ella, and Ella’s brother, Garrick, offer to help her move and settle in, Mia decides to see this as a new beginning.

It may also be the start of an exciting adventure because now Mia wants to know just who, exactly, was Great-Aunt Matilda. But it soon becomes clear that someone is trying to make sure Mia doesn’t stay in Little Pondale.

Half a book

Just a heads up ….this is only half the story and it ends rather abruptly….so if you want to find out what happens in the rest of the story you have to buy the next one.
To be honest I didn’t really want to spend a credit on it , so it made the whole listening experience a waste of time for me.
To make things worse this narrator has a really annoying voice.

Mills & Boon are alive and well

What drivel. I can’t believe I got as far as I did before I binned it. Ridiculous story read in an annoying accent.

Great Storyline

It is so to have a good listen and no swearing in every sentence. The storyline is interesting, and wait to hear the rest of parts 3 and 4.

Very disappointed ending of a book

What a stupid ending it ended only half way through the book. Very unhappy with the so called ending. I don’t think that I will ever listen to another one of your books. 👎

Hopefully there’s another book or two?

This story leaves me feeling as if it’s unfinished. Some of the performances were not great and some were wonderful. The overall story was good but as I’ve said, it feel very unfinished and was disappointing. I’m hoping for more books to finish the story.

Dreadful

I tried to give this book a go, but it didn’t improve. The narration is childish and the story line lacks substance.

Had me hooked

Interesting story, bit of mystery, comedy and romance. It also takes you on a journey but ends quite abruptly.

Great twists on something you think you have heard before

Love this! Finally something that you think is going along the classic route, but has amazing little hiccups along the way. Loved it.

Bloody Norah

The book is ok, but the phrase “Bloody Norah” now makes my ears bleed since it’s used pretty much in between every sentence said. I never heard it before, but now I hate it
