First completed audio book and I loved it!

This was my first audio book I finished all the way through (not counting story time in kindergarten) and I absolutely loved it. I listened in the car, at work after hours, in bed, literally any free moment I had. I fell in love with the story and I couldn't get enough of the reader's voice. Thinking I should get the rest of the series on audible as well.

Funny and Sweet

I had already read this book and loved the story but to be able to hear the story with the accents made it even sweeter and funnier.

Spontaneously funny!

You know when you are picking out a funny card and start laughing in the aisles? Everyone starts looking at you strange but you can’t stop laughing? That was me listening to this story! It was a wonderful combination of humor, romance and finding home. Highly recommend this! The narration though slow to start ended up capturing the mannerism and style of life on Greengage PERFECTLY! This is definitely a re-listen story!!

Sweet Story

"i was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review" This was a sweet story with twists in the plot i didnt expect. always love me a happy ending. the narration was great as well.

Interesting plot

I probably would not call this book a romantic comedy, I didn’t laugh once while listening to this book. Some of the plot was far fetched, but it was not bad.
I didn’t care for the narration, Wendy Wolfson read OK I usually love British narrators, but she was a bit too boring , or maybe bored?

Give this author a listen!

I highly recommend this author and all of her books. If you are looking for a hilarious storyline and great characters, then this book is for you. You will need some tissue to dry your tears, when you start crying from laughing so hard. I liked the narrator she really brought the characters to life. This is a good rom com story, quirky villagers and likable characters. Can’t wait to get book 2.

A Plum Story

The storyline was well crafted. The characters were interesting and the story peppered with humor. I would love to visit this island and meet the inhabitants. For sure, I want to see the kitten races! A very enjoyable read/listen.

Great cast of characters

This is a charming story about a island of people presser in their ways. Kit is an outsider from London and although they’re cautious of her she is accepted. She forms a friendship with Laura Greengages sweetheart. While trying to help Laura with her love life she falls for her. The story is sweet and funny. The narrator Wendy Wolfson gave Laura the sexiest voice it’s breathy and so lovely. I have the next two audiobooks and can’t wait to start them.

A Romantic Comedy

Kit Sorel moves to Greengage Island as the new librarian. She has always been a problem solver so it’s natural for her to help a new friend with her love life. She’s also missing her best friend who’s back in London. A funny romance full of quirky characters and noisy neighbors. Great narration.

Quirky and cute.

This story was adorable. It was definitely humorous in it's own little. way. I fear that anyone who isn't from a small town, might not see the humor in it all. it was a good read.
