Publisher's Summary

A quiet giant, an egotistical goaltender, and a cocky defenseman are about to meet their matches in this box set of hot, hilarious hockey goodness.

Beauty and the Beefcake is a vegan-friendly standalone romantic comedy featuring a hockey player whose vocabulary is the only thing smaller than a hockey puck, a book smart but aimless ventriloquist with too many voices in her head, a dilapidated old house that may or may not be haunted, and no cheating or cliffhangers.

Charming as Puck is a romping fun romance between a hockey player and his sister's best friend, complete with farm animals, epic birthday presents, and Berger Twin sightings. This romantic comedy stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers and ends with a pucking awesome happily ever after.

I Pucking Love You is a hilariously wrong romantic comedy about the world’s worst matchmaker, a hockey player with a problem he doesn’t want to talk about, and an awkward date-of-convenience that everyone would prefer to forget. It comes complete with a cat working his way through his nine lives, all the sexy times, fish and chips, and a swoony happily-ever-after.

Over 30 hours of laughs and swoons

This boxset is packed full of funny. First we have Aries and Felicity and all of the hilarious puppets. They are great together. Then we have Nick and Cami and we have pranks and a calf. This was too funny and Cami is perfect for Nick. Last but certainly not least is Tyler and Muffy and I think this was my favorite. Muffy deserved to find her happily ever after with Tyler. All three books are fantastic and packed full of funny moments as well as serious underline issues to work through and lots of heat.

The multi narrators were all great. They were paired up perfectly for the characters and I enjoyed listening to all of them. This is a great set and I highly recommend it.

Better than the 1st set!

The first 3 books in the Copper Valley Thrusters series are good, no doubt about it - but I think the next 3 , the ones included in this box set - are even better! Ares and Felicity are my favorite couple, followed by Tyler and Muffy. Nick and Kami's story is good too. I recommend listening and/ or reading all the copper valley books

WHAT a ridiculous book!

The moment that the ventriloquist character started speaking, I couldn’t deal with this ridiculous book 🤦🏽‍♀️ The previous books were overall entertaining, funny and very spicy. This was just a complete waste of a credit! I didn’t even make it to the second or third book. Hard pass…Trust me!!!

Disappointed!

I listened to the first set of Thrusters books, and they were pretty funny so I used a credit for this set, what a waste. These were downright silly and book 3 was cringe worthy with the characters puppet voices. The author must of had a word count to achieve because so much of the stories were on repeat!!! over and over again -reminding us of the characters faults. These books could have been told in half the time. I am really surprised at the good reviews as I was disappointed.

A Lot of Good and Some Not So Good

Beauty and the Beefcake:
Story 4.5 - Loved the story.
Narration 4.5 - Outstanding

Charming as Puck:
Story 4 - Liked the story.
Narration - Male 4.5 / Female 4

I Pucking Love You:
Story 3.5 - Average. I might have enjoyed it more had female narrator toned it down.
Narration - Male 4.0 / Female 2.0

It’s interesting how Savannah Peachwood’s voicing can either make or break a story. If the character is generally calm and rational, she doesn’t distract too much from the story. But if the character is prone to frequent bouts of melodrama and quirkiness, Ms. Peachwood begins repeating the following pattern:
1. Panic voice - On one or more lines she raises her rate and pitch, punching out words as if she’s about to run out of air.
2. Recovery - She then lowers her pitch a little and slows her rate.

Repeat over and over and over… like listening to a song that only has two lines and no variation that repeats on a loop.

The crux of the problem is that she overuses the panic voice, and it’s very hard to mentally keep the voice attached to the character when this happens. It doesn’t always make sense and can even make a listener want to avoid “spending time with” (listening to) the female character in the book.

This is what I struggled with in the final book of the series. It was excruciating at times.

I love the Thrusters

I have read and re-read these books by Pippa Grant several times. Learning these books were now available as audiobooks, I jumped in and was so thrilled that the narration was precisely how I envisioned.

Great series!

I loved the entire Copper Valley Thrusters series. In this book specifically, I like the story of all of them. Third book was a little repetitive for me so I hit the skip arrow a few times… combined, the 3 books are worth the 1 credit for sure! Do yourself a favor and grab the first part of the series if you haven’t!

I love Pippa Grant

Aries & Felicity
What’s better than a man that doesn’t talk getting together with a ventriloquist? You will love this book!
Nick & Camie
Nick needs her to help with his game. She wants to be more than a helper. I smiled through this entire book. I think every book gets better and better.
Muffy & Tyler
Muffy is a matchmaker Tyler is a Hockey player. She can’t seem to get things right but I love how he stands up for her.
All three books are hilariously entertaining. If you want to laugh and fall in love with great Characters Pippa Grant knows how to create just that. All of these books have hockey players in them, however she doesn’t get into the hockey aspect too much. Pippa’s books are pretty low angst with just enough heat to make them great. In my opinion, Pippa writes the best rom-coms. She also picks the best narrators. All of these are perfectly narrated with the best personalities.

I Pucking love the Thrusters!

Three hockey romances for one credit!
I really enjoyed Beauty and the Beefcake. It is a cute, sweet and really funny story. The humor was very OTT, but fun!
In Charming As Puck, these hot and hunky hockey players of the Copper Valley Thrusters are up to their usual hijinks and leaving us swooning in their wake. Sugarbear the calf-puppy steals the spotlight in this adorable romp.
I Pucking Love You is sweet and emotional and … Oh Yes…SO FUNNY!
I loved each story better than the last! It was great listening to these on audiobook with the wonderful narration.

Hysterical and romantic!

Grab this boxset now! If you love romance and laugh out loud funny books, grab this second part of the Copper Valley Thrusters series! We start with Beauty and the Beefcake. This one is especially fun, as it has a variety of personalities in our heroine, Felicity. She is an amazing ventriloquist, who has been trying to find herself. Now with a crazy ex stalking her, she needs some protection. Ares is an injured hockey player, a man of few words, who needs to rest and heal. Who better to be put together? This set up is so good, with the talkative Felicity, misunderstood, and underappreciated she is a woman we can all find something in common with. Ares, with his one word grunts, his persistence to be on the ice, and just his feeling of the underdog makes it impossible not to love him.

Next up, the goal scoring book of Charming as Puck! Nick is the goalie for the Thrusters, and he forgets his best friend with benefits and veterinarian, Kami's birthday. Kami wants more from Nick, but clearly, if he can't even remember her birthday, he has no interest in anything more. No longer happy with the situation, she distances herself from him. Will he realize his true feelings for Kami now? This story is heart warming and full of hysterically funny moments. The team is around with a few animal pranks, family with sage advice and a cow named Sugarbear that stole my heart.

Last up is I Pucking Love You! First, I have to say I love quirky, and you can't get much more quirky than Muffy. She owns a matchmaker company and her unorthodox way of finding a match is finally starting to work. But success still is a ways a way, and leaving her college education for this may be questionable. When she has to go back to her college town for a funeral, she isn't going to go alone. She needs a date. Tyler is a cranky hockey player, mainly because ever since his one night stand with Muffy, things have not been the same. Now is the chance to find out if she is the missing ingredient. A date with her should do it. But what happens next is nothing short of magic...and tragedy....and hysterical laughter.

Once again, Pippa Grant chooses her narrators perfectly. Each book is perfectly cast and will have you drawn in, laughing and loving each character. This is a series you do not want to miss!
