The characters

So fun! The first half wasn’t slow but long if you know what I mean lol. But the second half was so fast (in a good way) and exciting/emotional I really ended up loving it because of the second half. And really well written characters. Also a great performance!! I forgot about that part haha!! But they made the story so captivating.

The book was definitely not what I expected, and everything I didn’t know I wanted in a book. The family dynamics makes my family dynamics look so incredibly easy.

It’s extremely binge worthy and so enjoyable that I had the audiobook and the physical book so that I can read it as fast as I could. Another amazing novel from an amazing author.

Not a single moment felt slow or unnecessary—the story kept me hooked from start to finish. The pacing was perfectly balanced, and every scene moved with purpose. I especially loved the heroine—strong, layered, and so easy to root for. She brought heart and depth to the entire narrative. 🫶🏼

My 1sr read of Jessica Hastings and did not disappoint! Loved this story so much! I got even more teary eyed at the epilogue. Happy tears. I can’t wait to read more of her books!
