The City of God is one of the most important works of Christian history and philosophy ever written. Wow. Augustine was a smart, smart man. To my follow Christians - read this, and be tutored (and I say this as a Southern Baptist.). To those who are not Christians- if you are intellectually curious about arguments for faith at all, or a lover of history, or both (and I am both!) then please give this a go.
