For the love of Amos!

I really loved getting more insight into Amos's background! All of the Expanse characters are interesting, but there was something about Amos that just made me want to know more; especially about his life prior to the Cant. This was a brief look at his life on Earth in Baltimore. I would love if there was a short about his time with Naomi and how that loyalty bond formed.

If you're a fan of the books Amos is probably one of your favorite characters. Well there isn't that much more detailed about how he became who he is, there is a whole lot about how it's not about how society of Earth works.

If you're a fan of the series you're definitely going to enjoy it.

Very well elaborates on the back story with plenty of good bits and pieces and fils in some gaps but also leave you wanting more

Great story about a mysterious character of the Expanse!…and of course Jefferson was brilliant!

Love Amos and grateful this book was rerecorded with Mr. Mays, as his voice is the Amos I've grown accustomed to.

Everything I Could Ask

A great origin story for my favorite character of the series, but of course I'd say he deserved a full length tale. My one and only gripe besides, a minor one, is that the narrator fails to meet the intended tone the author had in mind (as far as I can tell) maybe once or twice. Overall, an excellent story worth more than it costs. This is a solid buy.

I love that guy. Always happy to get some extra backstory on the fellow. Worth it.

Great background story for a key Expanse character

I've watched the entire "Expanse" series but haven't read any of the novels. This brief novella demonstrates James S. A. Corey's gifts for describing character interaction and gesture. One does not need to be familiar with the series to enjoy this story which stands on its own.

"The Churn" introduces us to Timmy (aka Amos Burton) as a teenager on the mean streets of Baltimore. We get an early look at his sociopathic personality and the early friendships that shape his character. A nice bit of additional color to an engaging, and at times unnerving figure without a moral compass.

I'll definitely read more of the series after this.

Jefferson Mays gives an excellent performance.

The story was great, and so we’re the characters. I don’t want to miss a single word of the Expanse story. I love it when there’s a big “AHAAAA” moment, thanks.
