Publisher's summary

True love requires a little research and development in a funny, heart-racing romance by Sariah Wilson, the bestselling author of The Paid Bridesmaid.

How can Anna Ellis, a geeky, brilliant, and hopelessly smitten cosmetic chemist possibly win over Craig Kimball, the man of her dreams—who also happens to be her boss? The answer is Craig’s empathetic (and handsome) CEO half brother, Marco. The makeup mogul knows Craig for the ridiculously competitive rival he is. Whatever Marco has, Craig wants. That can be Anna, if she’s game to play.

All Anna and Marco have to do is pretend they’re falling in love and let the rumors begin. If the experiment in attraction works, a jealous Craig will swoop in and give Anna her happily ever after—if it weren’t for one hitch in the plan. There’s more to Marco than meets the eye. With every fake date, Anna’s feelings are starting to become dizzyingly real.

Blame it on chemistry. It’s unpredictable, exciting, and occasionally combustible. If Anna and Marco are really falling in love, who are they to argue with science?

Critic reviews

“With a very special appeal to fans of clean, wholesome, contemporary romantic comedy, The Chemistry of Love…is brilliantly narrated by the vocal storytelling skills of Em Eldridge.”Midwest Book Review

“Abundant pop culture references and nerdy quips only enhance…This is utterly adorable.”Publishers Weekly (starred review)

“In this adorable romantic comedy, the fake dating trope is taken to another level with banter and nerdy references Anna and Marco throw around. Adding to the fun, Anna’s grandparents and their pet birds will have readers in stitches. A fresh and fun romance from Wilson.”Library Journal

Not her best at all with robotic voices narrators

Worse narration. At first I thought it was AI.
This main character had to be mentally challenged to be this stupid.

She can do better, the author usually does.

One of the worst narrations I have ever heard

I stuck it through because it was a cute story combat but it was brutal at times listening to this horrible narrator.

Cute Story….narration could have been better

I was ready to delete this book after trying to listen to the first few chapters. The narration was so robotic and monotone. I pushed through and enjoyed the storyline. The narrator did not bring Sariah Wilson’s story alive as it should have.

4.5 Stars

This was so much fun and a great fake dating romance. I loved how this one started and how Anna and Marco meet. I loved seeing them come together. I also loved how innocent Anna was and how they both embraced each other and their inner nerd.

I loved Marco from the start!

Overall, this was shocked me as I was not expecting to love it as much as I did.

“I had a tendency to do that—to get fixated on something I wanted and if it didn’t go the way I’d planned it in my head, then I didn’t always cope so well with the outcome.”

It was the narrator...

I really love the idea of this book and I do enjoy this author however, this narrator killed this audiobook for me unfortunately.
My lifestyle doesn't afford me the time to sit down and read books, but I'm sure if I did have time to actually read this book instead of the audiobook, I would potentially enjoy it

Yuck!

Couldn’t even get through chapter one. Do not waste a credit. Narrator is more than dreadful.

Good story

Good story. Narration was not my favorite, and at time’s irritating to listen to. I usually enjoy this writers books and audio.

Liked it

It was a good story. The narrator took me abit to get used too. And the lead female hashed over the same issues a bit much at the end, but over all I liked it.

Cute

Kind of reminds me of Sabrina, and our heroine is brainless in the beginning. It grew on me I think there’s too many characters for 1 actor, some of the voices is like nails on the chalkboard. Otherwise she did great.
