Abetted by a bishop with questionable credentials, Julia plans to expose the imposter. But things take a devilish turn when the curious cleric vanishes and Julia's father-in-law is murdered. One of the best!

Forget the episode of the TV series, ESG is masterful in creating a wonderful mystery. Be mindful of its being written in a much different time as there are some objectionable references to people of color but remember that ESG did practice civil rights law before turning into an author. With that said, this is truly enjoyable and Alexander Condese is masterful in his narration.
