There are secret negotiations going on with senior capitalists in post-Communist Cuba concerning the US, and the President wants Gillette to handle it. It is clear, however, that the trail cannot lead back to the Oval Office. Seeing no option but to accept the mission, Gillette heads to Florida with bodyguard Quentin Stiles, leaving his capable protegé Allison Wallace in charge. They are soon 1,000 miles apart and both in grave danger.

Fabulous narrator
John McLain has a deep, masculine, and confident voice. His narration makes the book very captivating and interesting. I have really enjoyed reading several of James P. Wood’s books. They have been written with such creativity and intelligence. John McLain is an awesome addition to the stories.

Its hard to predict the wins if any in this intense court case drama.
Riveting.
George Keegan is not a perfect man and finds himself rethinking his ways.
I loved that character. I fought with him. Believed in him.Applauded him. Condemned him. Admired him.

Worth listening to
Just glancing at title, didn’t think it was my type of book. Getting tired of gruesome murder details. BUT, this book did not have that. It is face paced with well formed characters you can easily see in your mind. Story intriguing & sucks you in. Interesting book. Def enjoyed it.

Awesome Listen
I am a James Patterson fan and this reminds me of his earlier works before they were cookie cutter novels. This was very suspenseful and entertaining all the way through!
