Publisher's Summary

Much has happened in idyllic Ivy Hill in recent months, and while several villagers have found new love and purpose, questions remain - and a few dearly held dreams have yet to be fulfilled.

Jane Bell is torn. Gabriel Locke is back and has made his intentions clear. But Jane is reluctant to give up her inn and destine another man to a childless marriage. Then someone she never expected to see again returns to Ivy Hill....

Mercy Grove has lost her school and is resigned to life as a spinster, especially as the man she admires seems out of reach. Should she uproot herself from Ivy Cottage to become a governess for a former pupil? Her decision will change more lives than her own.

A secretive new dressmaker arrives in the village, but the ladies soon suspect she isn't who she claims to be. Will they oust the imposter, or help rescue her from a dangerous predicament?

In the meantime, everyone expects Miss Brockwell to marry a titled gentleman, even though her heart is drawn to another. While the people of Ivy Hill anticipate one wedding, an unexpected bride may surprise them all.

Don't miss this romantic, stirring conclusion to Tales from Ivy Hill.

Spectacular series

Absolutely loved this entire series. Took a bit to get into the first book and learn all the characters. But by the end of the third book I loved them all. I actually put off listening to the last chapter because I was so sad to say goodbye to all of them. The overall storyline of the series took many unexpected twists and turns. I especially loved the theme of community and how we each have a role to play. I highly recommend all three books, you won't regret reading them.

Lovely story and characters

These books have fully developed characters, a mystery and sweet romance. Great insight into Georgian England. They are clean - no cussing, no sex - with a moral tone but not preachy. I thoroughly enjoyed all three and have already purchased another by this author.

The narrator does a great job with the accents and voices. Very pleasant voice.

Suddenly the series became a religious book?

I enjoyed the first 2 books of this series. They are not great literature but pleasant reads about a more innocent time. So, I purchased the third book and suddenly I’m listening to a Christian novel. Huh?

How strange to suddenly change gears in the third book of the series. The problem isn’t religion. The problem is bait and switch. False advertising.
I feel duped.

a thoroughly enjoyable book

I was delighted to find this sequel to The Ladies of Ivy Cottage when I had finished that book I felt that there was more to be learned about the women and love this book as a following I only hope there's another one. By the way this account is under the name of my husband but the actual reader is me my name is Cheryl

Worthy tedium

Perhaps it did stretch a bit and there was the non dramatic drawing out of several overlapping “fond” triangles. Then the slow resolution of almost nothing in the first book. And the two free books on Audible escape leading up to the not quite thrilling conclusion in the third book, which required one credit. It seemed farcical to have to make such a financial decision but I succumbed. It was okay and atmospheric in a Georgian way. Be aware.

I hate when lengthy self serving advertising credits are added onto my cloudy mist of well being purportedly induced by the long awaited happy ending. The narrator was wonderful but I don’t care if she’s a member of SAG/AFTRA. And if the publisher has other similar works for sale they should perhaps be more discreet about it.

Wonderful 3rd book in this trilogy

Great end to the trilogy. Tears of joy and sadness throughout this set. Wonderful stories of village life in the regency era. A few surprises mixed in also.

Bride of Ivy Inn

Too "proper". I thought the end would never come! three men bidding for one woman. A circus family. Just too prim and proper.

Love the characters

I love the story, characters and the feel of Ivy Green and the members if it’s community. I could with a LOT less of the religious undercurrent which is the reason it’s not a 5 star.
