Excellent portions

Great story. A strong female character in an interesting world occasionally looses all her strength and common sense in an effort to keeep things moving along. I hate her loss of herself to move the plot from one stage to the next. Her inner dialogue during these portions are whiny and the narration, 😔, makes it sooo much worse. I do 💕 💕 this world. This had the potential to be an epic fantasy fiction. It is a decent one. There are just some lacking pieces to that puzzle. A main piece is the narration. It truly will make or break a story. I also didn’t like the lack of distinction between the male characters. When a story contains so many characters, a skilled narrator is required to allow the story to thrive.

This ending has me freaking out! What an amazing twist and turns and blast of the unexpected!!! Erin Mallon is the absolute perfect narrator for this series!!! Her narration is making me fall in love with the series even more ❤️

Gets Even Better in the Sequel

Shows some hardships and growth within the characters, along with some surprises, fun and heart-pounding adventures and more clues to the overall storyline.

I absolutely adored this book, even more so than the first.
