"Russ is a connector to both ideas and people. While some might find his quick tempo unsettling at first, this is where the magic is in truly identifying strategies that will help your company." (Andrew Kirk, Vice President, PACE Anti-Piracy)

"This book gives you simple and direct advice on how to better run your business. I’ve read a lot of books on business and none are as downright useful as this one." (Dom Morley, Grammy-winning producer, Adele, Amy Winehouse)

The Book I Thought I Didn’t Need to Read

As an audio professional, like most, I stumbled into the business without necessarily planning. I’ve always known I needed to consider the topics and ideas covered in Russ’s book. I didn’t even realize how truly important the subject is. This book puts things plainly into perspective and relates them to my line of work. I wish the book had been around 30 years ago. Then again, Russ illustrates how quickly change can come about and the book has inspired me to reassess my approach to the business side of what I do. It’s a side too easily ignored but this quick read has given me some new ideas to incorporate and make my own. Perhaps Russ’s dad was right andwriting the book wasn’t a good idea… while Russ’s dad was still alive. Now that he’s gone, in a way, it appears to have been a good idea—maybe not all along but surely now.
