It’s good

I wish it was longer it was just a tease. It was hot and I did like the accent but not enough feeling. The ending was kind of lame tho

Short and sexy

Audio version.
This is a quick listen a bit over an hour and 15 minutes. Personally I prefer a bit more to a story, it could have used a little more character development.
The narrator was good, fast talking though. It felt rushed.

Zoe is working out at a gym when Alexei spies her. She is strong and sexy and he wants her. She sees him and thinks the exact same thought… They get together, but will such a strong woman give into Alexei's dominant tendencies?

That is the plot. Lucy Felthouse does not try to expand or deviate from this. There is no time for it – listening time is less than one hour and 20 minutes. This is a quick, 'naughty' book to take your mind off the housework or running errands.

Scarlet Jackson is a wonderful narrator. I adore her accent!

Very quick listen, perfect for a commute

Good Story!

This was a good, quick and fast story. Zoe and Alexei coming together was rather quick. I wish their was more character development. Scarlett Jackson did an ok job with narration.

Fun and sexy quickie

Alexei saw Zoe at the gym and tripped. She was equally affected by her first glimpse of him, but she managed to keep her cool. From this beginning, I wondered if Zoe would be the dominant one in their eventual relationship. Alexei cracked me up!
Once their actual preferences were obvious, the couple had a great first date and spanking scene. I found it to be realistic, humorous (at times), and hot. I would love to learn more about these two as their relationship progresses.
The writing and narration were excellent. I am already a fan of the author, and I will look for other books performed by this narrator.

Short, sweet, and fun

I think I've found a new author to one-click. Lucy Felthouse hasn't disappointed me yet. Her stories are short, sweet, sexy, and fun. Each one containing sexy times, low-angst, and love.

The Beauty and the Badass managed to be the second book in a row I read that started off in a gym. Apparently working out and being all fit and awesome is in right now. Or maybe I'm choosing these books a reminder to myself that definition and energy aren't going to manifest themselves on my couch with a glass of wine in one had and a book in the other.

Anyway, short, sweet, sexy, and fun. That's what Lucy Felthouse delivers every single time. I think this is my third or fourth book by her and I really enjoyed it.

I listened to the audio of this and while the story was a typical Ms. Felthouse story, I found the narration to be a bit lacking. No fault of the author, just not my favorite narrator. I enjoyed her lovely accent though, I will say that. I just felt that the characters were lacking a little.

Coming in at just over an hour, The Beauty and the Badass is a quick listen. You should give it a go if you're looking for a sexy Viking and a Badass chick.

good read

The Beauty and the Badass by Lucy Felthouse was a good read. Alex I attends a new gym and notices Zoe the kickboxing instructor. This was another good read by Lucy Felthouse.

Better than I was expecting

While the ending is really good I was not ready for it to end. This book is short, funny, sexy and great to listen to.

The characters are surprisingly life like and the story is hot. I'd listen to this again.

The narration is OK, the male character voices were not believeable but the female voice was. The overall delivery is well done but there are distinct sound shifts where different recording sessions have been joined.
