Great book, this one held my attention from beginning to end. And it has my favorite Narrator. You can't go wrong with Jay.

Well, I have found the next series of books I will

It was like a first book written by someone who did very little research. The narrator is great but his Arab accent sounds Russian. His Russian accent is great. Won’t read the next book because author doesn’t seem to understand good writing

Not good but not terrible

I’m an Army Green Beret so I’m kind of hyper critical about novels of this genre. The plot is good and kept me interested but it comes across as one giant cliche; the former black operator who is now wanted and on the run, the corrupt government insider, and the Russian madman bent on destroying the world. Not to mention it’s loaded with cheesy metaphors. Also there are some serious plot holes and laziness in the details. Helicopters make a lot of noise when they land but apparently not in this world. You can’t just wander around Al Assad airbase stealing weapons out of the arms room, chow from the chow hall and a Blackhawk apparently owned by the Air Force, not the Army. Also you only have to choke someone out for three seconds to render them combat ineffective permanently. If you’re into this genre check out Jack Carr’s novels and read about the adventures of James Reece.

Good story, loaded with cliches and lazy writing.
