Great modern Cold War thriller!

If you appreciate (and miss) classic Cold War thrillers, this story is a great modern version with very well developed characters. The plot lines are intertwined quite well and come together in a very satisfying way.

Intriguing

Herzog keeps you glued to his narrative: weaving together a number of different story lines. You will never guess what happens next

Edge of your seat spy thriller

Just when I was missing Lance Spector so much, a new spy comes along. I think Saul Herzog is my new favorite writer. He creates fascinating characters I grow attached to. My only complaint is I have to wait for the next book in the series. Oh, and I loved the ode to Lance Spector. Get it!

That all stories don't have happy endings. That's surreal.

I truly enjoyed the story and look forward to more in this series. Mr Herog is an excellent writer.

Intense Espionage

What a fantastic first book in this series. Intense, intriguing, incendiary. The narration by Jay Myers is perfect. The storyline is captivating. I listened late into the night. I found myself holding my breath. Highly recommended! I cannot wait for the next one in the series.
