If your mind feels like a battlefield and peace seems impossible, keep reading…

Are you constantly replaying conversations, obsessing over what you should have said, or stuck in a loop of “what ifs”?

You’re not alone—and you’re not broken.

In The Art of Letting Go, best-selling author Lucas Hayes offers a gentle, practical guide to breaking free from overthinking, emotional baggage, and self-sabotaging patterns—so you can finally breathe again.

Even if you’ve listened to every self-help book and nothing has worked. The truth is, lasting peace starts within—and it starts here.

Inside The Art of Letting Go, you’ll discover:

  • The hidden cost of overthinking—and how to stop the mental spiral for good
  • A simple, science-backed method for breaking negative thought loops

And so much more.

A very interesting and informative book! There are so many instances and scenarios I can identify with when I recall my own stressors in my work and home environments. I also find myself actually implementing a lot of the techniques for improvement and they are indeed helpful.

I highly recommend this book!

And this audiobook is really great a lot of the advice in it goes along perfectly with advice counseling from my therapist and counselor So with them along this audio book really helps to make an improvement mentally. If you need help and are not currently seeing a counselor you know this might be a good idea.

More useful than I could have imagined

—its focus on quieting relentless overthinking and releasing old baggage feels tailored for anyone carrying heavy mental loops in a fast city like Chicago. The calm narration by Tyrrell makes the practical steps (mindfulness, reframing, forgiveness rituals) easy to absorb during late nights or commutes. Solid for building inner peace without fluff. If you're seeking clarity amid noise, it's a gentle, effective push forward. 4/5 for you.

an actual book I have re read and written down the tips cause they are great

Listening to The Art of Letting Go felt like someone finally reached into my busy, overworked mind and said, “You can rest.” As someone who tends to replay conversations, worry about the future, and overanalyze even small decisions, this audiobook hit close to home.
What I loved most about it all is how calming and reassuring the narration is. It doesn’t lecture or overwhelm. Instead, it feels like a supportive guide walking you through why overthinking happens and, more importantly, how to slowly step out of those negative mental loops. The ideas are practical, easy to follow, and realistic for everyday life. I found myself pausing the audiobook just to sit with certain moments and actually breathe.
This wasn’t about “fixing” myself overnight. It was about learning to loosen my grip on things I can’t control and giving myself permission to let go of old habits, unnecessary guilt, and constant mental noise. The examples felt relatable, and the gentle reminders to choose peace over perfection really stuck with me.
As part of The Overthinking Cure Series, this first book sets a strong foundation. It’s perfect for listening during a quiet morning, a walk, or even before bed when your thoughts usually run wild. By the end, I felt lighter, calmer, and more aware of how much power I actually have over my thoughts.
If you’re someone who struggles with overthinking, anxiety spirals, or emotional burnout, this audiobook feels like a deep exhale. It’s not just something you listen to it’s something you feel. Highly recommended for anyone ready to reclaim their peace, one thought at a time.

Gentle Wake Up Call for Chronic Overthinkers

One of the things I hate most when I am upset or angry about something is when someone tells me to, "just let it of." It is dismissive of the situation and often times leads to additional stress or anger atthe situation.
This audio book is not that. It doesn't just say "let go" but rather gives tips, tricks, and general mindset and thought patters to stop the cycle of overthings and negative thoughts. It helps you realize your negative thought loops and break out of them, leading to a more satisfying and joyous life.
This is an easy to digest and quick(ish) listen and worth adding to your listening library.
