Good story

Good story overall. the characters were believable and I felt their insecurities. ending felt a little rushed but I still felt the HEA.

I though the story itself was great! But I’m more into spice and action. Besides that. Good story

Cliche

As a whole it was a bit too predictable and cheesy. Ifound myself cringing a lot but made it through the book.

Not going to say that I wasted my time with this story but I did mentally check out during several sections. I did like start of the story. It kept me engaged and invested. Towards the middle when i started saying this is getting disappointing. The story dragged and the section with Janet killed my interest for Sam. This is not my type story at the moment Janet was introduced.

Good book

I loved the narrator. The struggle between Sam and Lucianna was gut wrenching. But finishing the read all the way to the end.

Mixed Feelings about this one...

I've heard an audiobook before where someone frequents an escort and they magically fall in love. This story had me questioning some things at times and there was violence... I didn't like parts, but the down parts make the good parts better if that makes sense. I usually avoid romance novels with drama but this worked out in the end. The narrator was good, but not one of my favorites. overall, it was a good listen, but not the best.

There was always more

this plot was unexpected,
totally would purchase another book from the same author.
i enjoyed how we are introduced to their life as a couple, not just the "happily ever after" you get to live their story.
the reasoning behind their actions.

Not great

Could have been a decent story but too much dialogue without really character building. Gave up and stopped listening.

Great, grown-up story

This is my second Melissa Terese book and it won’t be the last! She makes good plots, describes interactions well so the reader knows med who is speaking. Not so easy when most of the characters are women. “She said…” then “she said”…. Some books, you don’t know who’s speaking. Not so here.

Great character development

This story will address many issues. Is a 13 year age gap between partners really an impediment to a great partnership? Why do so many lesbian women doubt their own self-worth? True love does not come without problems - it requires time, and women who wish to stop comparing a past love with a present one, seeing the value both had to play in one’s life.-
