Really enjoyed this one

Plenty of angst and miscommunication in this one, and it was also laugh out loud funny. I also teared up a number of times. Bottom line is: relationships are hard, and sometimes first impressions are a bitch, but a good family always wins.

From beginning to the very end intriguing

A great read!

This sweet, angsty story is a must read. Caz and Hannah have my heart along with Hannah’s sweet daughter, Edie. The author does such a great job at exploring trauma from their past that leads to misunderstandings and miscommunications in the present. I appreciated seeing they way the worked through and clarified rather than shut down and disappear. So true to life and relationship communication issues.
I was completely drawn in to their finding their way to each other and strengthening their bond with just the right amount of fire and steaminess to move the story along.

Loved this book it had a good story and applied situations that were believable to anyone's life.

Good story

I love long books, but this one was unnecessarily long, around chapter 25 the writer could have conclude it. But instead there was another few completely boring chapters.
It is a great story, Caroline was a little bit too winy for a 48 YO woman, I liked Hannah and her daughter. Few tricks here and there would have given this book 3times 5 stars.

Good but not great

The first half was too much angst. I get it, bad ex… but it was too much. The 2nd half was better.

beautiful story and excellent narrator

I loved this book. I didn't think I could relate to it until I "met" Caz. Thank you, Melissa Tereze, for creating such a dynamic character capable of personal growth. This was an inspirational read for me. With appreciation, I am a once heart-broken public school teacher who will keep reading!

Heart Warming

Absolutely loved this book! It shows how messy life can be but how wonderful too. Definitely think there is a sequel here.
