Publisher's Summary

The American Terrorist by Jeffrey Sabins takes us deep inside the Iraq conflict with Marine Gunnery Sergeant Jared Tremble during his trek of military revenge. Jared joined the Marines straight out of high school and is now a veteran of numerous campaigns in Iraq, Afghanistan, and even the Horn of Africa. This taught him the art as an American tracking down terrorists in this military fiction novel.

Although he is well respected and an extremely good Marine, Jared has had enough. He feels the government and military leadership have been lying consistently to the troops and that they should not even be there, fighting in some foreign land against an enemy that is simply trying to live its purpose and faith. The crunch time has come for Jared and he has decided on an audacious plan to try to gain some meaning in his life as a Marine Corps killer. Jared will walk out of camp one night and join the Army of Islam to fight against his former brothers-in-arms - Jared will become a traitor.

Don't miss out with book one of this series as Jared becomes what others are afraid to act on, a much needed rogue hero and military assassin.

Bereft and lost, he sees this as the only way to put some meaning back into his existence. He is tired of fighting for cowards and liars who use the troops on the ground as their proxies to gain power and influence over the region. Gunnery Sergeant Jared Tremble is about to go rogue!

A book with a hook.

To begin the book is written by someone I consider a true leader, warrior, and friend.

Listening this this was an awesome experience and I look forward to more novels from this author. It's starts off clearly explaining and setting the scenario before you're pulled into a scenario/world that ends up completely surprising you. I enjoyed it and I highly advise checking it out. You won't know what's coming and by the time things start to happen you can't stop but to finish the story. I will definitely be back to this again and again in my future.

Exciting, suspenseful military tale!

This is an awesome book, kept me on the edge of my seat with many twists and turns. Just when you think you have the plot figured out, it changes. Military books aren't normally my favorites, but I look forward to more books by Jeffrey Sabins! The narrator did a good job of making things even more suspenseful by voice inflection and tone. Two thumbs up!!

Total surprise at the end.

Although this one took awhile, I was glad that I finished it. This is the story of a Marine that deserted and joined the Brothers of Islam. Through a series of flashbacks, it is told why. It ends with a great fight scene.

Karma

I like the story because it’s about a marine and what he does to protect his family and others. Beloved life is lost but Karma moves in.
This is a great book it’s exciting heart wrenching, read this book it’s great you won’t be sorry.
The only downside I found was that the narrator sounded unfeeling Tinney like he was reading a script no feeling involved.

CAPTIVATING

I’m not big on reading, so I downloaded the Audible version of the American Terrorist. I was hooked from the very beginning, and did not want to stop listening! Following GySgt Tremble’s journey was enthralling and intense. Just do yourself a favor and get this book. I cannot wait to read (or listen to) more from Jeffrey Sabins!

Great, engaging military tale...

The American Terrorist, Book 1 in the American Terrorist series by Jeffrey Sabins was great!! Though this is a fictional tale, the characters were well developed and it felt as if this could have been a true story. It kept me guessing until the very end and at times I wanted to strangle Jared for his actions against his own people. I liked the secondary character of Bashir, I think it was, a lot. There are a few flashbacks intertwined throughout the story, but it all flows together well and reveals the bigger picture at the exact right times. I'd definitely enjoy listening to the next book in the series.

B.C. Archer did a good job narrating this story and was totally believable as battle-hardened Jared, as well as the other Marines. He also did a great job with the accents of the terrorists and easily made the story more believable to me, as the listener. I'd really enjoy listening to more narrations performed by him. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.

Honour

This is the first and hopefully more books , that I have read/listened to by Jeffrey Sabins.

Without giving to much away. Love honour and loyalty to family and the core.

I was gripped from the beginning and the ending was brilliant.

Fast paced , with believable characters.

Recommend, if not sure because it is a military story, please give this book a go.

At root of this story is family and love.
