The Adventure of The Innocent Murderer

Sherlock Holmes is furious on learning that Michael Draycott, a murderer who he has worked hard to bring to trial, has been acquitted. He knows that this is due to the efforts of a lawyer notorious for securing the release of criminals who should rightfully hang, and by means of paid 'witnesses' for the defence. Watson hopes a new case will form a welcome distraction, until it appears that both cases are linked. Holmes and Watson are now in a race against time to solve both.

Justice in the end

A man who Sherlock Holmes knows is guilty of murder is acquitted, Holmes & Watson are also certain that bribery or other nefarious activities were afoot. They are in the midst of another case, when they realize the new investigation will reveal exactly what they need to get justice. The narration was outstanding.

Ends Well

Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson attempt to unravel a series of bribery of a jury and several murders by the same man, who attempts to escape; at least the hangman.

The Best So Far in the "Discoveries" series

In this series of short "books" published as "The Discoveries of Sherlock Holmes," this entry by Arthur Hall is the best so far. It reads with the voice of ACD, which is a tough thing for a pastiche writer to pull off. Although more a short story than a book, it is an enjoyable listen which I am happy to recommend.

Sherlock Succeeds in the Enf

Even though a murder gets off at first, Sherlock does not rest til he is brought to justice. Good story and very good narration.

The Adventure of the Innocent Murderer by Arthur Hall is an excellent Sherlock Holmes crime mystery. Kevin E. Green did a wonderful job with the narration. The story is thrilling, interesting, entertaining, engaging and more. The Adventure of the Innocent Murderer is the Sixth story in The Discoveries of Sherlock Holmes series. Each story is written by a different Sherlockian from all over the world. Each story is unique to the person. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
