The Discoveries Of Sherlock Holmes is a series of Sherlock Holmes stories exclusively released on Kindle Unlimited to give fans the opportunity to sample Sherlockian writers from all over the world. One story per writer will appear each month. Number VIII is William P. DeFeo.

The Case of the Acclaimed Philosopher
is a Sherlock Holmes tribute tale that is traced carefully along the classic lines of A.

C. Doyle’s original master stories. Subtly woven into the fabric of the tale is prescience of the treacherous word, “Moriarty," a name that strikes a dissonant chord of sheer evil into the heart of every patron of the art of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. The lost works of Aristotle are at the heart of the case, as the reserved wit and cunning sagacity of Holmes seeks to hoist evildoers on their own petard. Good versus evil is perilously set in motion, and the tale’s action carries the listener nervously to the brink of resolution or ruin — while the reputation of an Empire hangs in the balance.

Very engaging Holmes & Watson story. It’s well written and is keeping with the canon. The narration is outstanding.

Excellent

This book in the "Discovery" series was well-written but unfulfilling. The concept is an intriguing one, but since so much of the story takes place "offstage," so to speak, that we the reader/ listener, only learn the details much like Watson did, in snippets and accountings shared by Holmes after the fact. The narration by Kevin E. Greene is excellent, as his work always is.

A good story that could have been better.

Not quite your standard Sherlock mystery as it revolves around the validity of some ancient documents. Still, an interesting story and the narration is well done.

The Case of the Acclaimed Philosopher by William P. DeFoe is an excellent Sherlock Holmes crime mystery. Kevin E. Green did a wonderful job with the narration. The story is thrilling, interesting, entertaining, engaging and more. The Case of the Acclaimed Philosopher is the eighth story in The Discoveries of Sherlock Holmes series. Each story is written by a different Sherlockian from all over the world. Each story is unique to the person. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
