It is amazing that there is so few requirements to becoming a parent. This book provides clear advice, examples & dialoged instructions to become a better parent. These skills can be applied to all relationships. They are not just skills for parenting but if applied, will help in all relationships. It gives me new ways to respond to situations as teaching opportunities with natural or logical consequence rather than punishment that destroys mutual trust, respect, responsibility and love.

Incredibly Valuable - all parents should get this!

I’m a busy young father with 2 young children under 3 years old. I’ve listened to the book during my spare time at work, and I’m about halfway through the book so far and I’ve already learned so much! This book has incredibly valuable content and my relationship with my kids is already improving because of it!
I have also had the opportunity of knowing the author and have to say he is a great man of high character. I highly recommend his counsel found in this book!

Valuable and easy to follow guide

Well narrated, easy to follow and the steps were logically placed. Having had troubles with our teenage son, this step by step guide had lots of useful information presented in a comforting tone. Non-preachy which is what I loved about this above other audibles I have listened to on this subject. Every chapter I managed to learn something new so it's well worth a listen.

Great book

Children don’t come with instructions.
This is a really informative book about how you can teach your child life skills and the right behaviours to take them into adult life. All kids will go through stages where they need your help to bring them back to
Themselves through discipline and guidance. I particularly liked the advice on how to help sibling disagreements - these strategies have really helped my family

Become the Best Father Possible!

Parenting is the most important job we have, yet there's no degree required. Candidly, this book could also apply to mothers, because having mom and dad on the same page is helpful. There are so many skills in this book that should be a minimum requirement of proper parenting. Boundaries for example. This creates discipline and develops values in their lives. And values will clearly influence behavior. This was my favorite skill because if your children develop your values, they will be in alignment with yours and behavior will follow. The three steps to correcting behavior together seem so simple, but also powerful. I have a sales background and "handling sales resistance" is taught almost identically to these three steps. But who thinks of applying sales skills to your parenting style? Ultimately, the seven skills taught in this book will help you give the values to your children that they need to live a successful happy life.
