Great Story

Beyond the building love story, there were a lot of other great moments that were so relatable in this book. Dealing with grief, strained relationships with family, hindsight giving you clarity on people you once knew...

Overall, easy story to get immersed in. Loved the dynamic between the characters. The narration left a bit to be desired but it was still an easy listen.

Narrator ruined this book

Narration was horrible the storyline was good. If had a different narrator I would have given it five stars.

A Great Story that is ruined with Poor English

I would like to begin this review by clarifying my title. This book is among many audiobooks I've listened to that seem to forget what proper English is when writing. This author, along with several others, continues to use 'words' that AREN'T words, such as 'gotten'. Sorry, no such thing! I'm not sure if our school systems are failing the upcoming writers, but it sure seems that way.
Now, for the story. It's a cute story of two women who find themselves in a surprise reunion of sorts. The parting of their friendship 10 years prior was done in a hurtful manner, and Ava was reluctant to walk back into a second round with Grace. Thankfully, the two women were able to communicate and resolve some of the hurt and resentment between them, opening the door to a new possibility. It's worth a listen if you can ignore the poor use of 'words'.

Easy Listen Story

Two teens have a rough breakup. From BFFs to not speaking to each other for 10 years. Then there is a surprise reunion and Ava still harbors a lot of anger. Luckily, they talk and due to its necessity as being dual coaches for a bowling team, they come to terms with the past and decide to start a new.

I really didn’t think I would have picked a lesbian love story. Not my favorite story.
