Not ideal as an audiobook

The reader was a little awkward, maybe AI? Also, this story doesn’t lend itself to audio format because it skips around a lot, making the narration really confusing. That said, I’m glad I stuck with it to the end, which was really beautiful.

Wade into this one

There are rhythms and cadence very unique and one of a kind. While the subject matter of this book has the most subtle of intricacies woven in pure journalistic endeavor, the lack of plot creates an inner dialogue and ebb, flavoring the entire world.

Confused

Never knew what or where the book was leading me. I just couldn’t follow what the story was.

Extremely hard to follow, depressing. Unanswered questions. Why can’t the author let us know what is really happening?

I did not enjoy this

The reading was weirdly paced and the story hard to follow and not very interesting. The book was depressing.

Horrible Narration, ok storyl

The narration was horrible. There were interesting sections; however, for me, the flat deliverance ruined the story. It was difficult to follow. I kept listening since so many people hold this book in high regard. The story of immigration is riveting with many facets. I wished that I had read the book instead of listening to it.
