Story
The latest groundbreaking tome from Tim Ferriss, the number-one New York Times best-selling author of The 4-Hour Workweek. For the last two years, I've interviewed more than 200 world-class performers for my podcast, The Tim Ferriss Show. The guests range from super celebs (Jamie Foxx, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc.) and athletes (icons of powerlifting, gymnastics, surfing, etc.) to legendary Special Operations commanders and black-market biochemists. For most of my guests, it’s the first time they’ve agreed to a two-to-three-hour interview.

Story
The Tao of Seneca (volumes 1-3) is an introduction to Stoic philosophy through the words of Seneca. If you study Seneca, you'll be in good company. He was popular with the educated elite of the Greco-Roman Empire, but Thomas Jefferson also had Seneca on his bedside table. Thought leaders in Silicon Valley tout the benefits of Stoicism, and NFL management, coaches, and players alike - from teams such as the Patriots and Seahawks - have embraced it.

Not so easy to digest as audiobook
Note: this review is mainly on the experience of listening to 4HB as an audiobook.
I tried this because I listened to - and really enjoyed - The 4-Hour Workweek as an audiobook. This one doesn't work quite as well in audiobook format because there are more portions of the book that require following Tim Ferriss' many "recipes," taking in scientific terms, drug names, foods that may be obscure to some listeners, and so on. I'll definitely be listening again.
A more general observation: I suspect readers will also be very selective with which aspects of the content of the 4HB they choose to try out - certain parts are definitely for real experimenters (like Ferriss himself), whereas much of the 4HWW seemed quite readily applicable to most people willing to buy into the book's main concepts.
Overall, all of Tim Ferriss' books are probably most effectively approached in book form, where his lists of data, links and formulas for "lifestyle design" can be read and digested in your own time. If you have the time, that is. I don't get through books particularly quickly, and so I've still really enjoyed getting through the concepts via these audiobooks.

Advice worth listening too!
Where does The 4 Hour Body rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of the best I have heard, short and entertaining!!
What other book might you compare The 4 Hour Body to and why?
none similar
What does Zach McLarty bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
A pleasant voice, well chosen for this audio book
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
yes, I did it in one sitting and then revisited a lot of sections
Any additional comments?
Tim Ferriss is exceptional and unique.... he tests EVERYTHING in life. Advice from someone who actually tests, perfects and wears the T-shirt. Certainly invest in this book now!

As above, obviously your view may vary due to your personal assimilation. I notice people have whined about the audiobook version- it's an audiobook! there is an accompanying pdf. I've managed to take a lot in on 2.5 speed and bookmarking anything relevant to look up. cheers Tim, not listened to any of your other books but feel I should

Listen to a sample 1st
I am so sorry that I feel the strong urge to write this review feeling the way I do about The 4-Hour Body.
I believe if you cant say something positive then you should probably stay quiet but I really hated this audio book. Tim's regime was recommended by a friend and not having the time to read the book I thought an audio version would be just the thing. But right from the start I found it irritating and the narrator's tone highly annoying. It just wound me up the wrong way. The constant use of meaningless acronyms, CUOMA, was just confusing and ridiculous.
Actually as I write this I have thought of 1 positive thing to say about this book I found it so annoying that the nettles I was clearing whilst listening to it didn't stand a chance. So, if you are considering buying the audio version of the book and can listen to the sample without getting annoyed then maybe you will enjoy this book. Just remember to have your Acronym head on whilst listening otherwise you will get totally confused.

Really solid book with interesting insights.
Perhaps the book which really shows how much Tim Ferriss really loves to experiment with himself and supply his findings. In this he discusses many of his protocols for getting in shape and developing your body. However, I'd actually say this book is more than just that. it's also a book which subtlety teaches how to go about pursing any kind of goal, just like how the 4-hour chef was a secret book on the art of learning. In this respect there are many gems worth taking advantage of. While there is a lot of technical knowledge (I guess having a physical copy would help a lot with this) which is hard to digest audibly may put some people off. I'd say persevere in this case. There are some gems worth discovering here.

Comes across as bragging.
The first half has some decent insights even though the narrator comes across as arrogant and kind of talks down to his audience. I cringed when he said he cleared his throat before saying he is a happy participant in sex research. When he started talking about porn stars and sexual education involving watching women getting fingered I disconnected. I was asking myself WTF am I listening to here?

Dodgy advice that isn't healthy
He mentions things like binging and then having enough caffeine so that it has a laxative effect so you don't absorb as many calories.
This is literally Pro-ana advice.
