What do a psychiatrist, a mother, and an expert hit man have in common? Their time is running out in these three fast-paced thrillers from the world's number one best-selling writer James Patterson.

Dead Man Running: Psychiatrist Randall Beck specializes in PTSD cases - and his time is limited. Especially when he uncovers a plot to kill a presidential candidate.

113 Minutes: Molly Rourke's son has been murdered - and she knows who's responsible. Now, she's taking the law into her own hands. Never underestimate a mother's love.

13-Minute Murder: He can kill anybody in just minutes - from the first approach to the clean escape. His skills have served him well, and he has a grand plan: to get out alive and spend his earnings with his beloved wife, Maria.

An anonymous client offers Ryan a rich payout to assassinate a target in Harvard Yard. It's exactly the last big job he needs to complete his plan. The precision strike starts perfectly and then somehow explodes into a horrifying spectacle. Ryan has to run, and Maria goes missing. Now, the world's fastest hit man sets out for one last score: revenge. And every minute counts.

disappointing

Normally a fan of James Patterson but not this one. 3 stories under one title (which still don't understand) none of which i enjoyed. Sorry - pass on this one.

The 13minute murder

I enjoyed the first 2 stories but the third one was not enjoyable at all! I didn't like the entire plot of the third story.

Trio of books

Not as exciting as some of his other books. The plus was I didn't realize there were three stories.

Only one out of three stories worth listening to

K. Collins makes my teeth grind. Horrible narrator. Stopped listening to story #1 bc I couldn’t take any more bad narration.

Story #2 is a great story, not an obvious ending, and good narration.

Story #3, I really can only say the narration was annoying AND it appeared the actual story would be boring.

Do NOT recommend.

well they can't all be winners

1st story: ok. contrived....a bit too twisty for a relatively short read. hardly remotely realistic.
2nd story: this was the best of the three. great story, held my interest and had a surprising turn!
3rd story: the worst of the three and then some. rarely am I disappointed that I chose to read a whole book, but with this story, I am. a story based on killing is not my cup of tea.

Boring

Hard to believe this is by a best-selling author. The narration is terrible too. I returned the book.

3 story compilation - 2/3

This is a collection of 3 stories, of which, the 1st and 3rd were pretty good. The first story had a good flow and page-turning drama. The second story had a cliche story line that could have held promise if not for the whiplash through the story. As for the third and final story, it feels like you're going between Don Quixote and John Wick.

Spellbinding

This book was amazing!! The first chapter of the book was a bit of a slow start but from the second chapter until the end of the book it keeps you glued to your chair!! I highly recommend this book to anyone!! I’ll listen again to catch what I might have missed. And to hear that first chapter that gave so much information but I only half listened. I should have known it’s a James Patterson book pay attention to every word!!
