great story but a tearjerker.

it's enjoyable to read and see characters interact, progress, even fail.
there were a lot of heavy messages with a pretty sound delivery.
I absolutely teared up with this one more than once.

Yeah, Uncle Rick? WHAT IN THE ASS WAS THAT!? Not only was that completely not allowed, but it was just rude. Fix it. That's an order

Love this narrator

I love this narrator, he is the perfect mixture of confident, snarky and nerdy that embodies Apollo. I felt like this was too short and I wish this book was longer. Can’t wait for the next one!

Apollo series is one of the best

Listening to this with my teen son, who is out of the demographic for this but can't quite let the series go. Our thoughts:
- enjoyable for adult and child
- this Apollo series is one of Riordan's best. The unreliable yet likeable narrator is a lot of fun, and the other characters are enjoyable as well.
- Draymond is one of the top two Riordan narrators, and is easily half of the fun
- This one was darker and sadder than Riordan's usual, so I would listen along with a younger child.

Overall, highly recommended and one of Riordan's better series on audio.

Tear Out my Heart

I love Rick Riordan and his entire mythoverse. And I love the newest addition as I always do. I love Apollo and his growth and getting to know more about Meg is awesome....but this book kills me!!

Gahhh! Tear out my heart and stomp on it why don’t you!? I didn’t need this and killed me and I’m still crying months after the release and my first read and the audiobook just makes it all the more emotional!!
