Publisher's summary

Monsters - and the champions who slay them!

This is the second volume collecting all of best-selling author Larry Correia's short stories, novelettes, and novellas. Correia's novels are known for their hard-hitting, no-holds-barred action sequences, in-depth worldbuilding, and vivid characterization. Now, Correia turns to the short form to deliver stories that take no prisoner.

"Tokyo Raider" pits giant robots against very big monsters in the Grimnoir universe. "The Testimony of the Traitor Ratul", set in the Saga of the Forgotten Warrior series, lets a man who has been called a fanatical rebel, despicable murderer, and heretical traitor tell his side of the story. And "Reckoning Day" gives an insider view into the day-to-day life of some of the most popular characters from the Monster Hunter International series.

Plus, stories set in the world of both Aliens and Predator; an Agent Franks/Joe Ledger mash-up cowritten by best-selling author Jonathan Maberry; a V-Wars story; a story set in Michael Z. Williamson's Freehold series - and more.

Finally, Tom Stranger, interdimensional insurance agent, is back in "A Murder of Manatees", appearing in print for the first time!

Lots of goofy Correia originality. I enjoyed the collection. Will continue reading books by this author.

Well done

Another well done anthology of Correia's work.
I love the Tom Stranger series and I'm glad to see two of the three now available with the rest of his shorter works.

very good, but not quite as good as the first

Larry Correia can do very intense, modern fantasy gothic, historical fiction, adventure, and horror very well. Some don't realize that he does comedy well too.

This is his second short story collection by this name and, while not as engrossing as the first in my opinion, this is still a very engaging work.

I am a massive Tom Stranger fan, too go along with MHI, so I was really digging some of this book, especially the last story.

Last story should have been left out or replaced.

I am not at all a fan of the Tom Stranger storys and was very disappointed that both volumes of this series had devoted so much time to them. There is so many other great series that would have ended both volumes much better.

Great collection

Great collection of stories like the first volume. Best of this one is the correia/ Mayberry exchange. Ledger and Franks perfect!!! the narrator is the only problem. He did fine but ray Porter is the voice of joe ledger and Oliver wyman has to do MHI they are 2 of the best narrators and it’s just not the same without them.

Only for people who laugh out loud alone in their car.

While other drivers gawk, seriously. If you’re easily in embarrassed in public by involuntary snorts of laughter, skip it. Or at least listen in private. Don’t go changin’, Larry Correia; we love you just the way you are.

Nails on a well written chalkboard.

Quality stories as always from Larry. When it comes to Basil, we'll not so much. There is a great narrator hiding in there somewhere. If he would stop reading like a sports announcer he would be a top notch narrator. He does his best narration (outstanding really) when he is doing character voices, the rest of the time it is nails on a chalk board.

Liked the first time I purchased half of these.

Both these anthologies have a lot of content already published and purchased. Hearing them again and having paid twice makes me angry. Lesson learned.

Good, but not as good as the first book.

First: Honestly, I can't stand the narrator.
Second: Some (not all) of these stories were kind of lackluster.

Shooter Ready, V-Wars and Episode 22 were awesome! Tokyo Raider was better by itself because Pinot narrated it. The rest, eh. Still worth listening to, especially if you're looking for a new author/story to follow.
