A Story with a Difference!

I originally read this book in November 2023 and have now had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook version. This is a really good collaboration between the authors and the narrator making it a story well worth listening to (or reading).
I found the subject matter quite interesting – Vikings and really strong women and it was with absolute delight that I watched as Hedda and Eldberg went from enemies to lovers and then on to their fabulous happy ever after.
Their gradual building of love and trust was quite engrossing and the pace was perfect. Such wonderful characters, each strong in their own way.
I can hardly wait for the rest of this series because this one was just that good!

Tamed by the Viking

I Loved Hedda & Eldberg sparks flow between these two amazing characters this was a great start to a new series .
I love Viking story there was a ton of steamy scenes also a outstanding story don't we all need a shipwrecked Viking.
Gareth's narration was very good I really enjoyed the music between the chapters..

Unique concept! I throughly enjoyed this.

I love Vikings in general but man was this a ride! I think everyone will be surprised by the unique turnaround in the leading characters roles!

Bound and Betrothed

This is not my normal genre of book. I wanted to see if I would like it. I did, it was different. The premise of the book is that a group of men have been shipwrecked and are discovered by a group of women, widowed or abandoned, who discover the men and against the protest by the dominant female in the group, attempt to heal and save them. It was engaging to listen to because the narrator was exceptionally talented and good! It starts slowly and builds as the story develops. I don’t want to give spoilers so will not delve into it specifically, however by the end of the book I was rooting for all to end well. It is to carry over into the insuing books, but I must say it is an interesting and engaging novel. I would highly recommended this to anyone considering the Gothic genre of novel and especially for those that it is their preference.

The audiobook was provided to me by the author for my honest opinion of the book.

great story

I enjoyed listening to this audio book. The story was fantastic. I liked the fact that the sea sound effects were added to the performance, it really enhanced the story.

Gorgeous story!

A very intriguing story with two fiery and arrogant characters. They were certainly well matched and I didn't particularly like their behavior at the beginning, but I was very happy when they fell in love. The lovemaking scenes are very steamy!
The narrator is very good even with female voices and the narration in general. Totally recommended!

Hot, raw and mysterious!

Wow, what an exciting, steamy and intriguing first book in a series that promises to be great. The plot that includes an island of just women who adopt 6 Vikings shipwrecked on their island is fun and unique. The women are in control! The narration is perfect with Gareth's deep and mysterious voice quality. I love that the women need the men to perpetuate their community, and some of them are lusting for the men too, but on their terms. Their previous experiences with the men who left the island were not always positive. The book has the extra element of intrigue with a seer and a little paranormal foretelling of the future which should tie the six novels together as different couples are featured but the stories all intertwine. I especially loved the earthy and lusty thoughts and dialog of the Viking men and the language used in the book. It makes the tale feel real and so hot. The first story with the jarl of the Vikings, Eldberg, butting heads with the strong and independent Hedda is perfect. It takes a while for Hedda to see any benefit to having men around again and the sparks fly and well as the passion.

Viking love story!

Short and spicy, this book had great chemistry between the main characters. I wasn't sure what to think at the beginning but by the end, I was panting for their realizations.

The narration was excellent. Loved the deep voice the narrator gave to the MMC.

Enjoyed!

OMG! What a powerful love story! It gave me a taste of the sexy woman and men during the time of the Vikings. The narrator did a great job with the story. His voice was what I could imagine being Viking.

Eldberg and Hedda's saga starts

The first story in the Bound and Betrothed, Eldberg and Hedda story grabbed my interest from the first page. It is well written with a very good storyline and great characters. There is drama, danger, suspense, twists, turns and romance. If I could I would give it more than 5 stars. The story is well worth listening to. The story continues into the second story. I can not wait until I can listen to the next story. I enjoyed listening to Gareth J. Davies narrate this story his voice brought this story to life for me.
