The very grand, steamy and exciting finale!

This is it - the big ending to the 6-part saga of 6 Viking warriors whose ship wrecked on an island populated by women. The tone of Mastered by the Viking is ominous and mysterious as the clues and premonitions and fortunes all come together to reveal the secrets of the island's curses. And it is a slam-bang finish too. The romance between fisherwoman Astrid and warrior Jorgen is sweet and steamy as they try to determine why the island's men dies or left and what Jorgen's dark dreams are trying to tell them. And of course the women need to men to give them babies. I love that the couples featured in each book all have very different personalities, strengths, challenges and needs but in the end they seem to be the perfect mates. Gareth Davis is perfect as the narrator, with his gravelly, deep voice. The sound effects add a lot too. The stories are earthy, raw and sexy (these are Vikings after all) and the women are very strong and independent after years of isolation. Sparks fly. I could not stop reading this novella to find out how it was going to end and it was brilliant.

The finale - a must read ♥️

I’ve loved reading this series and getting to know the couples and their struggles to find the happiness that they all deserve.
This is book 6, the final story of the Bound and Betrothed series.
It features Jorgen and Astrid’s journey together.
While both being honest and respectful of each other their relationship slowly grew.
With some tender and steamy moments between them they eventually found love.
This story brings together the secrets of the island hinted at from the previous stories and the drastic steps that needed to be taken for them all to survive.
I thoroughly enjoyed all of these short stories and the ending rounded out everything perfectly.
It was a pleasure to read all of them.
I also immensely enjoyed the narration of this story and all the sound effects that went along with it.
As always Gareth J Davies did an excellent job of narrating this.

A Dramatic Conclusion!

I have just finished listening to the 6th and final audiobook in this series having also read the book itself and I am happy to leave my voluntary review of both.
As we come to the end of this dramatic series I'm sitting here sighing, remembering all that has happened on that fated island where six remarkable couples learned what love is.
In this particular story, Astrid and Jørgen work though doubts and frustrations as they get to know and trust each other.
I will admit to being very relieved, at the end of this remarkable adventure, about how it all turned out, because that ending was not as expected.
The story with all of it's varied and interesting characters was skillfully brought to life in this narration. In fact this whole series has been a wild, exciting and very entertaining saga of note and I have enjoyed every moment of all of it.

A Most Fitting and Wonderful Ending the One of The Best Series Ever !!!!! *****

Mastered by the Viking, an Audiobook by Felicity Brandon and Anna Quinn is the story of JØrgen and Astrid. The remaining castaways have made a decision….secretly…a decision that impacts them all. But, there are still lingering doubts…and surprises awaiting them all!!

Really loved Astrid and Jørgen has his own internal demons that keep him tethered…what is to become of them all? What will happen now??? This is the last story in the series!! I am both happy and sad at the same time!!!

This Audiobook was narrated by Gareth J Davies, who was PHENOMENAL!!! It is not an easy task to perform all male and female roles in an audiobook but, he did it!!! There was a clear distinction between both male and female ‘voices’. This guy is incredible!! He brought out all the emotions and nuances of each character. Fantastic job!!!

The conclusion of the series

This was the first series I've listened to by these two authors. They were shorter, and in my opinion, that makes it harder to write good romance. They got the steamy parts in, but the execution of seeing/feeling the characters falling in love wasn't quite there. This book is the shortest of the series as well as the finale where we find out what is happening on the island. I didn't see it coming so that was good! I would love to see the authors flesh out each couple's stories and the happenings of the island to make these even better reads/listens.

Gareth Davies, once again, brought this audiobook to life with an emotional performance. Excellent job!
