So I just got done listening and reading along with the audible. It's a slow burner, but having someone else read all those difficult names and words helped so much. I ended up reading and listening to it all today. I actually got to know the characters and can’t wait for the next book

Viking omegaverse romance

The narrators did a phenomenal job with this book. I’m still thinking about what happened at the end that was crazy. I’m still thinking about it.. I can’t wait till book 2 releases an audio next month.

So glad I wasn’t dissuaded by the cover art!

This was an impulse buy. I knew nothing about this author, never read (or listened to) any Viking fiction & didn’t even know what an “omegaverse” was…🤦‍♀️ yet my impulsively was generously rewarded (take that toxic trait)!! I burned through books 1 & 2 in a week and did not hesitate to buy book 3. I agree with the other reviewers with respect to the narration. Lane is especially incredible (funnily enough, initially I found the narration…off-putting. Now, it’s difficult for me to remember feeling anything but gushing enthusiasm.)
One final hats off to the author and this series:
Admittedly, I almost always opt to listen to books I wouldn’t normally read (another toxic trait?Perhaps!) Either way, at this point I’ve listened to about a gazillion audiobooks and this is only the second time I wish I’d actually read the book first. 5 stars all around.

gets better with time

initially , I found this book hard to follow, because the narrators accents were almost too good. because of the time references at the beginning of chapters, I sometimes would lose track of what was happening when things overlapped, but as I got used to the narrators, it got so captivating that I couldn't listen fast enough. I needed to know what was next, so much so that I ended up getting it on kindle and reading some with my eyes and switching back and forth till the end.
loved the story. can't wait to see it come around full circle where the characters get their full HEA
