At least, that's what he was born to be.
Now, after getting a second chance along with a superpower that lets him alter anything and everything in regards to his own body, he's trying to fix his life.
To live his life for himself with the goal of actually enjoying it, all while being thrust ever deeper into a situation he didn't expect. A situation involving Tongsta, their pets, and the galaxy as a whole. One that's going to need his help to fix it, whether anyone wants it to happen, including Wrench or not.
He's been dumped into an unfamiliar Hab after having survived a pirate attack with his Tongsta, Goodie. She's likely recovering somewhere after being wounded, so he can't look to her for help.
Stripe and Seventh are here as well, and his first goal is to find them. Which will likely require him to fix anyone and anything that gets in his way.
Good thing he's well suited to fixing problems. After all, most issues only need a great deal of violence to be solved. Wrench has lots of that in his toolbox to go around.

Another amazing story of Wrench the fixer and his plucky hab mates and Tongsta mom Goodie. Stephanie does an amazing job narrating. Go ahead and buy the first in the series.

Goody for the win
Wrench and the crew are trying to prove they are more then animals and Goody is still the awesome "cat" lady. Great listen to them joining the crew and helping save Tungsta. Awesome narrator

this is a great second book that i like better than the first one,
we get a lot more details about the society's and the technology interfaces.

Never believe 5 star reviews
I’ve been learning never believe five star reviews. They seem to be AI generated. His books seem to be going downhill. Overclock one had possibilities, but the second one was extremely annoying and disgusting. I’ve listened to all his other books but this one having sex with monkeys and mice. Besides that the story just isn’t there like it has been in all the previousseries. The narrator does a great job, which is the only reason I gave it a chance.. It just seems written so that he can pad the series and add more characters that don’t seem to fit in with all the other books.
