Publisher's Summary

Never split the party...

Tyrfing is both the key to success in Terry Mack's quest to destroy the Dust Lord and a death sentence for any template foolish enough to go after the cursed blade.

With Baba Yaga prophesying doom should he pursue the weapon himself, Terry is compelled by his lovers and companions to allow Yuri to retrieve the sword instead, while he moves to secure the tiger kin and bring them home.

Yet, Terry arrives to find every male of the tribe missing, captured by a monster with strange, hypnotic powers. Faced with an antagonist who can vanish without trace at will, Terry struggles to find some way to force a confrontation, before the people he was charged to keep safe are lost forever.

Meanwhile, Yuri finds that the area around Svartheim has been devastated, its people slaughtered, and the one clue he has to their disappearance is an ominous note naming the dungeon as both the source of the destruction and the birthplace of a warlord known as Halfrekkr.

Best One Yet...

Admittedly fewer explicit scenes than the first 3 books, but the storyline and depth of writing is head and shoulders above the others... and almost any other MonsterGirl/Harem Fantasy book. This series may have started as Fun Monster Girl Harem Pulp Fantasy... but it has become the standard/benchmark that I measure up all other Harem Fantasy series against.

Keeps getting better

This has been my favorite series so far. cant wait for the next one! I didn't have any real expectations when starting mask of the template, but now it's the series I go back to whenever I can and hold as a benchmark for the genre. The complexity of the the mc and his close circle is totally engaging and I find I can't get enough of them. If you haven't tried this series yet make it your next listen. You won't be disappointed.

MC goes full white knight ahole

The story overall is still good and the narration is great. The increased allegory is distasteful. The greatest annoyance is that the MC goes full white knight a hole. Regardless of how powerful his women are he keeps treating them like damsels amd makes decisions without even consulting them. And even after all this time in Celestine he has this rigid sense of self righteousness that makes you want to scream. The MC has become the least enjoyable part of the series.

Pretty much the best in this genre

These books are a great deal of fun. Tess Irondale is so wonderful to listen too. One of the narrators I do searches on to find new books.

What a great addition to the Celestine Chonicles

First, I must say that I've followed this book series since the "Mask of the Template," which is the book that started it all. I have over some 350 books in my audible library within the fantasy / Litrpg genres, and Cebelius's Celestine Chronicles are some of my favorites to listen too. This book series is an adult oriented, so young lesseners and parents be advised. All those adult readers who love the fantasy genre and haven't listened to this series, yet I'd urge you to pick up this series and follow the progression of T-Mack as he makes his way in a foreign world. My only non-problem with this series is that by the time I buy the book and finish it the next day, I want more and have to wait...

I forced myself to finish this book.

The main character and logic jumps made in this book have made me not want to finish the series. I didn't want to read this one but had already bought it when I thought it had more potential.

Complete abandonment

I think the narrator does a great job of giving each woman their own individual personality and unique voice. This is indeed my least favorite book of the series, I think the author does a really good job of making a harem World feel normal and inclusive. I do wish that there was more interaction between the women and the male character on a more personal and emotional level, you will find that they are all still asking to know him more deeper level. the ending was very unexpected, heartfelt and slightly unforgivable considering the upcoming battles ahead. I would say that my opinion of some of the women turned soured through the middle to the end of this book, ( Mila and Prada). Also I like the fact that Yuri has a good ending and it is fitting for his character. Overall I like the series and the author and I will take time to read the next one but I am in no rush.

Terrible

this one was freaking terrible. The story goes nowhere slowly and nothing really happens In this book. I hate how Terry is just forced to go along and accept the others decisions all the time, especially Prada that just keeps manipulating him all the time and he never dose anything about it.
He was so close to growing a personality at the end when I confronted Prada but NOPE, just forget everything Terry has stood and believed in up to this point.
Hate the new girl and how Terry just accepted everything about it with some grumbling. Grow a spine and make a stand at some point damn it!
To summarize, you won't miss mutch if you skip this book as it really doesn't go anywhere, and the character interactions are painfully contrived.
